(LAS VEGAS, NV) — Sincerest regards to everyone who wished to attend what should have been the most ultimate After Party of the entire decade for AVN-AEE After Parities, however it was a complete wash, no thanks to the Maloof Property staff for canceling an AVN Nominated Director’s Official Ceremony good luck and blessings party.
Will this in turn have any direct reflection on what is to be the outcome from the Award Ceremony tonight, being held ironically near the same location at the Palms Casino? Alexander DeVoe, a very Prolific Adult Films Director, whom the Official Awards Nomination party was intended to be in honor of, also may have suffered irrevocable damages from loosing his place indirectly by missing out on the aborted celebration. DeVoe was to be celebrated in honor of not one or two, but an amazing eighteen (18) different awards in various categories.
Francesca Lupo, VP of Advertising and Talent Coordinator for ABN commented last night, ”It is an utterly disrespectful decision to cancel the party that so many people were looking forward to attending for networking here in the city of Las Vegas.” Then she said, ”I mean come on, you got the entire Adult Video News Awards being hosted from the Hotel this year, and yet they have a problem with the kind of people from the Adult Industry getting together to rally for the ceremony the next day here at the Hotel.”
When asked about why the party was cancelled by the staff of the Palms Place Resort, they said, ”We are very sorry but the sort of party like that is not allowed to go on, and it had been cancelled before it even had a chance to begin.” Whether this has any direct ties in relating to tomorrow’s final Award recipient for the intended Nominees or not, may not yet be so easily decipherable at the present time.
2010 marks the year of the switch for the first time in history for the AVN Awards Ceremonies to be held at a new location on W. Flamingo Boulevard. Though this may not be the last time that the event will take place at the Palms Casino, it is sure to leave a bad taste in the mouth of several Adult Film Producers, Reporters, and many Adult Industry professionals.
Perhaps the Proprietors and the Curators of the AVN and the Adult Entertainment Expo [Home Entertainment Events, Incorporated] should re-think and reorganize the next event to take place somewhere more suitable for the enjoyment of the attendees and all of the fans. Whether or not the actions of the damages caused by the hotel management of the resort property at the Palms has any direct impact on the booking and scheduling of the location for next year’s Adult Video News Awards Ceremony in 2011, you will however likely see less people visiting the Casino’s slots and table games after tomorrow’s Event takes place.
