(LOS ANGELES, CA) — The 2010 AVN Nominations have been unveiled, and Vouyer Media is pleased to announce that the company and the lines it distributes have received a combined total of 35 significant mentions.
Zander’s Self Service led the way for the company’s in-house productions, earning nominations for both Best Solo release and Best Solo Sex Scene for star Jenna Presley. The company’s True G.F.E. P.O.V. performed similarly well, garnering recognition in both the Best P.O.V. Release and Best P.O.V. Sex Scene categories.
Other significant nominations for Zander’s work include Best Oral release for his star-studded blowjob competition Oral Olympics, and Best Ethnic Themed release – Asian for the exotic Asian Annihilation.
The past year was also a good one for actor/filmmaker Jack Napier, who earned Best Director Ethnic Video and Best Ethnic Themed release – Black mentions for Black Bottom Girls 6. His flagship series, it’s Big, it’s Black, it’s Jack, once again earned recognition in the Best Interracial Series category, and the Jack’s Giant Juggs franchise received a nom for Best Big Bust Series.
Gonzo specialist Van Styles’ output was similarly well received, with Diggin’ in the Gapes 2 receiving nominations for both Best Anal Themed release and Best Anal Themed Series, while the director was recognized with a Best Director Ethnic Video nom for Souled Out 2. The Souled Out franchise also received a nomination for Best Interracial Series, and the director’s stylish Poolside Pussy earned recognition in the Best Gonzo release category.
Several of the company’s flagship franchises received acclaim in their respective niches, with in Thru the Back Door earning a Best Anal Themed Series nomination, Breakin’ ‘Em in 12 snaring best Pro-Am release and Make Me Creamy 5 garnering a nom for Best Internal release. Absolute Amateurs 2, one of VM’s first forays into the amateur market, was recognized in the Best Amateur release category.
Turning to the outside lines distributed by Vouyer Media, Burning Angel’s LA Pink led the way with seven high profile nominations, including Best Parody, Best Screenplay, Best Marketing – Individual Project, Best Actor (Sean Michaels), Best Make-Up, Best Oral Sex Scene, and Best Double Penetration Sex Scene. Other Ba nominations included Best Male Newcomer (Brian Street Team), Best P.O.V. Sex Scene for P.O.V. Punx 2, Best Pro-Am release for True Fucking Love, and Best Music Soundtrack for Punk Rock Pussycat Dolls. It’s BIg, it’s Black, it’s Inside Joanna earned noms for both Clever Title of the Year and Best Original Song, and, fittingly, Burning Angel founder Joanna Angel was recognized in both the Director of the Year (Body of Work) and Best Web Starlet categories.
Vouyer Raw, the line created by European director/performer Greg Centauro, received its first AVN nomination, with Twitter My Shitter getting duly recognized in the Clever Title of the Year category.
