(CHATSWORTH, CA) — The nominations for the 2010 AVN Adult Movie Awards were announced with winners in over 100 different categories to be revealed live at the AVN Awards Show on January 9, 2010 at Pearl Concert Theater inside the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
This year’s event is co-hosted by two of the biggest names in the world of erotica, Kayden Kross and Kirsten Price. The 27th annual ceremony is the most important and star-studded night for the adult film industry as it rolls out its red carpet and celebrates the best and brightest in the business. More than 5,000 releases were reviewed by the AVN staff during the year.
The event is a Herculean effort treated with the same seriousness as the Academy® Awards. ”We are very excited about this new collaboration with the Pearl Concert Theater inside the Palms Casino Resort,” said Paul Fishbein, president of AVN Publications. ”All involved with the Palms have been great to work with and the intimate setting of the Pearl will provide a new experience to both the audience and participants of this year’s AVN Awards.”
Awards will be given out in 125 categories, including Best Video Feature, Best Parody, Female Performer of the Year, Best Adult Website and numerous Best Sex Scene awards.
Titles receiving multiple nominations included 2040, Nurses, the 8th Day, Throat: A Cautionary Tale, Pure, Tori Black is Pretty Filthy, Flight Attendants, the Sex Files; a Dark XXX Parody, Ass Worship 11, Teachers and many more.
