I was on the set of ”Mommy & Me” and had a chance to talk with Monica Mayhem. Mommy & Me is a mainstream movie starring Stephen Bauer, Keeffe Griffith and Ming Ballard, and is directed by Jennifer James for Jennifer James Films. The second scene shot that day was of the wedding ceremony where Nikki Benz and Monica Mayhem are brides maids, and Tommy Gunn is the best man. After the shooting here’s what Monica had to say.
I asked Monica Mayhem how she got involved with the production. she replied, ”I’ve shot for Jennifer James many times in the past, and we’ve always done great work together. Jennifer called me to ask if I’d like to do the film, and of course I jumped at the chance to shoot another mainstream movie, since acting is one of my many passions. I thought [the script] was great, very funny, and I love comedies. I play one of the bridesmaids, my character’s name is Lucy. Basically, I’m one of the ‘sexy’ friends of the bride, and I end up cutting up my bridesmaids dress, to make it short and skimpy, taking away the attention from the Bride.”
I asked what else was on the horizon for her and Monica said, ”I’m also getting ready to go into the studio at the end of the year to record my first single ‘Fallen’ with my band ‘Sweet Avenge’ (www.myspace.com/sweetavenge). The single and full album will be released sometime in 2010. Then we will start touring after that.”
Monica has an autobiography coming out October first, called ”Absolute Mayhem – Confessions of an Aussie Pornstar”, published by Random House Publishing in Australia. You can pre-order copies through a link on her website MonicaMayhem.com or through SeekBooks.com.au.
Monica is about to embark on a world tour to promote her book. She will be feature dancing and making appearances all across the globe, starting late October. Check out her calendar on her website for upcoming dates.
She’s also working on a lingerie and clothing line, to be launched in 2010. The collection is currently called ”Miss Mayhem” and she has a signature toy line ”The Saucy Aussie Collection” through Pipedream products.
