(NEW YORK, NY) — OBJECTify! September, 13th, NYC – OBJECTify the Book! You can burn it, you might spurn it – and that page right there dares you to turn it… You can look inside, break the spine, preserve a keepsake for all time. Throw it, Bestow it, and so help you, god, don’t blow it! The Book!
Co-conspirators and New York party promoters, the Baroness, Xris SMack!, Irene Kaoru and Editrix Abby bring a resurgence of stimulating nightlife with OBJECTify! An ”open source” format, with monthly guest producers, bringing fresh concepts. This month the legendary Chi Chi Valente curates and Daniel Bergner author of the Other Side of Desire will do a short reading…
The objective – to unite the many tribes: twisted, gay, straight and bi; male, female, trans; young, old; costumers, anachronists and crossdressers; the kinky and the queer; the polyamorous, swingers; sadists, masochists, fetishists; fairies, fashionistas; freaks, geeks, hippies; hipsters, wishters and wannabes. While, providing an environment where even the most ”vanilla” of adventurers can feel safe to explore, experiment and experience.
Embracing the Dadaist anti-aesthetic, each month OBJECTify will obsess about one particular Object. This months Object the book, think: The bible or going back to school and dress accordingly. Influenced by Burning Man and its ”no spectators” ethos, OBJECTify encourages guests to partYcipate, so each attendee contributes to the evening’s collective outcome.
To encourage guests there is reduced admission for the uniquely dressed to reflect, reject or otherwise demonstrate a grasp of the party theme, and a $100 cash prize for the most inspired! Downstairs is the fully equipped ”Rubber Room” presided over by the Baroness with dancing and play.
Always the second Sunday of each month, OBJECTify will uplift or destroy a particular Object. So come thematically and dramatically attired and be prepared to partYcipate.
Held at the Delancey Lounge, 168 Delancey Street (between Clinton & Attorney). New York City. Doors at 9pm (till 4am). Admission is Free for Artists who bring 2D/3D art, offer a performance or otherwise compete for the Cash Prize for the most inspired interpretation of the chosen Object. $10 for those who dress!. $20 for everyone else.
