(LOS ANGELES, CA) — Hourglass 8 Media President Kelly Shibari will be presenting a workshop during the InterNEXT Summer Forum entitled, ”The Art and Craft (and Business) of Social Media Marketing in Adult”.
”I see adult content providers, solo performers, and adult retailers using social networking sites to try to connect with their potential consumer base,” says Shibari. ”The problem is, more often than not, they’re doing it all wrong.”
The workshop will include a brief summary of the current state of social media, the mistakes that most companies are making, and actionable strategies for participants of the workshop.
Hourglass8 Media consults with entertainment companies, especially adult industry companies, to how to most effectively market their product to the public through the use of social media. She has presented workshops and seminars at both adult conferences as well as mainstream marketing summits on the use of social media and social media marketing. Her ebook, ”The Champagne Room,” is an often-downloaded primer on the use of social media from an adult industry perspective. Kelly’s diverse background includes degrees in business as well as theatre technologies, and she has worked on both sides of the camera.
