Myles’ Weekend Adventures: Bonjour mon amis! Comment ca va? Myles Shaffer here. This weekend started with an awards show, continued on with a very lovely lady who is making a most welcome comeback, and finished with one of the most beautiful and famous adult film star/feature dancers active in the industry today. So, let us get right to the discussion like immediately if not sooner!
XRCO Awards Show
Thursday evening, April 16Th, I attended the XRCO Awards Show at the Highlands Nightclub in Hollywood.
For the most part, the show went very well. All of the nominees, all of the people who were involved in the show, the press, and a handful of people who wanted to see and hear what was going on, acted very professionally.
Most of the industry people who were not a part of the show were standing around at the bar drinking, talking, and being very noisy in general… Without any further ado, here are this year’s XRCO Awards winners!
Come to think of it, before I speak of the winners, I should mention that the show was hosted by jessica drake and Kayden Kross. I should also mention that the heart-on girls were Nina Hartley and Veronica Hart. (All four of the ladies did an excellent job!
Now I’ll speak of the winners.
Beating out Kenzi Marie, Mahlia Milian, Sarah Vandella and Selina Draagen for the Deep Throat Award was Angelina Valentine.
The Best release award went to Cheerleaders (Digital Playground) over Bound (Wicked Pictures), Cry Wolf (Vivid Video), Miles From Needles (Vivid Video) and the Texas Vibrator Massacre (Loaded Digital)
Fallen (Wicked Pictures) and Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge (Digital Playground) tied as the winners of the Best Epic award beating out Hearts and Minds 2 (New Sensations), Icon (Sex Z Pictures) and Roller Dollz (Adam & Eve Pictures/Zero Tolerance).
The Best Director (Features) award went to Brad Armstrong over Joone, Michael Raven, Stormy Daniels and will Ryder.
The award for Best Director (Non-features) went to Jules Jordan over Belladonna, Robby D., William H. And Vince Vouyer.
In the Best Comedy (Non-parody) category, the award went to Ashlynn Goes to College 2 (New Sensations) beating out Carmen Goes South (Wicked Pictures), not Another Porn Movie (Burning Angel), Who’s Nailin’ Paylin? (Hustler Video) and that Voodoo that you Do (Penthouse).
For the Best Comedy (Parody) category, the award went to not Bewitched XXX (X-Play) over Horat (Pink Lotus), Night of the Giving Head (Rodnievision), not the Bradys XXX: Marcia, Marcia, Marcia (X-Play) and This Ain’t the Munsters XXX (Hustler Video).
For Best Gonzo Movie, the award went to Alexis Texas is Buttwoman (Elegant Angel) in favor of E for Eva (Jonni Darkko Productions), Oil Overload 2 (Chris Streams Productions), the Gauntlet 3 (Vouyer Media) and Jenny Hendrix Anal Experience (Manuel Ferrara Productions).
The Best Gonzo Series award went to Big Wet Asses (Elegant Angel) over Lord of Asses (Tom Byron Pictures), College Invasion (Shane’s World Productions, Porn Fidelity (Juicy Entertainment) and Slutty & Sluttier (Manuel Ferrara Productions).
The Best Girl/Girl Movie award was won by Belladonna’s Girl Train (Belladonna Entertainment) which beat out Girlvana 4 (Zero Tolerance), Predator 2 (Wicked Pictures), Violation of Flower Tucci (Jm Productions) and Women Seeking Women 40 (Girlfriends Films).
Tunnel 3 (Jules Jordan Productions) took the Best POV Movie award from About Face POV 6 (3rd Degree), Jack’s POV 9 (Digital Playground), POV Pervert 10 (Mike John Productions) and POV Cock Suckers 7 (Tom Byron Pictures).
Stoya beat Tori Black, Nikki Jayne, Kristina Rose and Faye Reagan for the New Starlet award.
The New Stud award was taken home by CJ Wright who won out over Danny Mountain, Anthony Rosano, Johnny Sins and Eric Swiss.
The Unsung Siren award was won by Amber Rayne over Franchezca Valentina, Sindee Jennings, Lindsey Meadows and Adrianna Nicole.
The Unsung Swordsman award went to Charles Dera in favor of Chris Charming, Alex Gonz, Jerry and Travis Knight.
Jenna Haze was the much deserving winner of the Female Performer of the Year award winning out over Sasha Grey, Rebeca Linares, Gianna Michaels and Alexis Texas.
The Male Performer of the Year award went to James Deen who beat out Eric Everhard, Manuel Ferrara, Tommy Gunn and Evan Stone.
Single Performance (Actress) went to jessica drake – Fallen (Wicked Pictures) over Monique Alexander – Cry Wolf (Vivid Video), Jesse Jane – Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge (Digital Playground), Kaylani Lei – the Wicked (Wicked Pictures) and Bree Olson – Roller Dollz (Adam & Eve Pictures/Zero Tolerance).
Single Performance (Actor) went to Evan Stone – Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge (Digital Playground) beating out Brad Armstrong – Fallen (Wicked Pictures), Tommy Gunn – Hearts & Minds 2 (New Sensations), Randy Spears – the Last Rose (Wicked Pictures) and Lee Stone – This Ain’t the Munsters (Hustler Video).
The Cream Dream award was won by Tori Black who beat out Lexi Belle, Dakoda Brookes, Alexis Love and Faye Reagan.
Bobbi Starr won the Superslut award over Belladonna, Dana DeArmond, Jenna Haze and Adrianna Nicole.
The winners of the Best On-Screen Chemistry award were Joanna Angel and James Deen over Belladonna and Jesse Jane, Kayden Kross and Erik Everhard, Sunny Lane and Manuel Ferrara, and Teagan Presley and Mr. Pete.
Belladonna did well on this evening topping Sasha Grey, Jenna Haze, Kenzi Marie and Gianna Michaels for the Orgasmic Oralist award, and beating out Dana DeArmond, Jenna Haze, Hillary Scott and Bobbi Starr for the Orgasmic Analist award.
Julia Ann was the winner of the MILF of the Year award over Lisa Ann, Darryl Hanah, Kylie Ireland and Francesca Le’.
The winner of the Best Cumback award over Rachel Love, Nicki Hunter, Brittany O’Connell and Ann Marie Rios was Teagan Presley.
Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge (Digital Playground) won out over the Gauntlet 3 (Vouyer Media), Roller Dollz (Adam & Eve Pictures/Zero Tolerance), the Wicked (Wicked Pictures) and not with My Wife you Don’t (Visage Films) for the Most Outrageous Extras award.
Sasha Grey was the winner of the, Mainstream Adult Media Favorite, over Stormy Daniels, Jesse Jane, Katie Morgan and Tera Patrick.
The inductees into the XRCO Hall of Fame this year were: Pioneers, Kandi Barbour Film Creators, Brad Armstrong and Jules Jordan Actors, Lexington Steele Actresses, Jewel De’Nyle, Leena, Missy, Joanna Storm, Angel Kelly, and Stacy Valentine Movies, Dog Walker (John Leslie Productions, 1994) 5Th Estate, Roger T. Pipe Outlaws of Porn, Max Hardcore.
The ”Outlaws of Porn” is a brand new category. Apparently the people behind the XRCO felt that Max deserved a place in the Hall of Fame, but really didn’t know where to put him, so-to-speak; therefore, they created a new category based on what some people would think of as Max’s outlandish product?
Some of the people I spotted at the awards show who walked the red carpet, and some who didn’t bother with the red carpet, such as I, were: Eva Angelina, Lisa Ann, Angelina Armani, Tori Black, Vanessa Blue, Ethan Cage, Cassidy Clay, Cousin Stevie, jessica drake, adult entertainment industry attorney Michael Fattorosi, Manuel Ferrara, the ”original Tommy Gunn” per his MySpace profile, ”the reigning Tommy Gunn” per his MySpace profile, Kitten, Kayden Kross, Lexi Lamour, Sunny Lane, Devon Lee, and Kaylani Lei.
There were also Shy Love, Michelle Maylene, who was covering the event for AVN, my editor-in-chief, Steve Nelson, Brittany O’Connell, Amber Peach, Tatum Pierce (when I first met Tatum, she was a City of Industry Spearmint Rhino house dancer. She is obviously now in the adult film industry.), Powder, from Rude TV, Teagan Presley, Tee Real, Sammi Ross, Avy Scott, Nikki Sexx, Kelly Shibari, Randy Spears, Elizabeth Starr, Evan Stone, Alexis Texas, Victoria Valentina, and last but not least, Valentino.
Taryn Thomas
Friday, April 17Th, I drove up to Charlie’s Topless Angels, in Hesperia, to spend the evening with my friend, Taryn Thomas, and to observe both of her shows.
At the start of her first show of the evening, Taryn came out onto the stage wearing her hair in pigtails. She was wearing a short-sleeved, form-fitting, white blouse that was closely laced halfway up the back with a large pink ribbon. The blouse also had a band of pink trim around the bottoms of both sleeves. In addition, the blouse was split up the middle in front and both resulting edges were trimmed with thin bands of pink. The front of the blouse was held together with a series of eyelets and hooks.
Taryn also wore a short pink mini-skirt that was crisscrossed with one half inch wide horizontal and vertical white stripes. The stripes were bordered by thin black lines. Taryn additionally wore a black crinoline petticoat beneath the mini-skirt, and beneath her outer garments, she wore a black bra and black T-back panties.
On her legs, Taryn wore a pair of just barely above knee-length, pink and black vertically striped socks, and on her feet, she wore a pair of knee-length, black, high-heeled boots that laced up the front and had platform soles of moderate height.
Taryn ended this show with a game of cooter ball for 8X10’s followed by having customers attempt to land dollar bills on the small of her back for DVD’s.
During this show, three house dancers got onto the stage and lie side-by-side waiting for Taryn to play with them. Two of the dancers played around with each other a little bit while they were waiting their turns to play with Taryn.
Also during this show, toward the end, Taryn allowed tip rail customers to smear body paint onto various parts of her body.
During this phase of the show, three more dancers climbed onto the stage, one at a time, to play with Taryn.
Yes, all of this most definitely made for a really hot show!
After this show, Taryn informed me that she had danced to songs by Brittany Spears, Danty Kane, and Lady Goga, but she couldn’t remember the song titles, the DJ couldn’t remember, and I didn’t have a clue. (Don’t we hate it when that happens!?)
Taryn started this show wearing her hair in a ponytail, and she was wearing a short-sleeved, black and white, vertically striped midriff top that was reminiscent of a referee’s shirt. She also wore a pair of red suspenders and a very short, black, mini-skirt with a wide belt. (the mini-skirt was so short the bottom half of Taryn’s buns were delightfully exposed. Not too much was hidden in the front, either!) Beneath everything else, Taryn wore a black bra and black T-back panties. She additionally wore a pair of black and white, horizontally striped, athletic socks and a pair of black and white athletic shoes.
During this show, three dancers again climbed up onto the stage, one at a time, at various times, to play with Taryn. (by various times, I mean that a couple of the ladies climbed onto the stage and played with Taryn more than once during the show.)
Taryn ended this show with another game of cooter ball for 8X10’s followed by the dollar bills on the small of the back for DVD’s thing.
Taryn performed this show to, ”Ride Me Dirty,” and other hip hop numbers. Once again, Taryn couldn’t remember the other titles or any of the artists, I didn’t have a clue (as I’ve stated many times, rap and hip hop are not my kinds of music (?). I decided to not waste time asking the DJ about the music, since it was almost closing time, I was tired, and I wanted to head home before I started falling asleep in my tracks.
Taryn’s interaction with the customers during both of her shows was as good as she dared it to be in this location.
Taryn is a beautiful, green-eyed, young woman with somewhat long black hair. She is five feet four inches tall, weighs in at one hundred fifteen pounds and measures a delicious-looking 34B-26-34.
I don’t believe anybody should ever pass up an opportunity to get out to a club to see Taryn perform and to meet her in person. I feel that she is worth the trip, and I do not believe anybody would be disappointed by the experience.

Tera Patrick
Saturday evening, April 18Th, I drove out to the Rialto Spearmint Rhino to observe Tera Patrick’s first show.
I had planned to stay for both shows, but I was already tired by the time I got there, and it wasn’t getting any better as time rolled by. Besides, the club was jam-packed with bodies, several of whom had yet to discover deodorant, and more bodies were still arriving, and hardly anybody was leaving. (I’ve never been overly fond of being in the middle of large crowds, and Tera does pack them in!)
For the one show I saw, Tera came onto the stage wearing a large black feather boa around her neck. She also wore a black corselet that was trimmed with vertical lines of silver sequins all the way around. In addition, she wore a sheer, pleated, black mini-skirt. Under her outer garments, she wore a cup-less black bra, a sheer black garter belt and a black thong. On her legs, Tera wore a pair of sheer black hose with a wide band of lace around the top. For footwear, she wore a pair of knee-high, shiny, black boots with stiletto heels.
Tera performed this show to, ”Let it Rock,” by Kevin Rudolf featuring Lil Wayne, ”Toxic,” by Britney Spears, ”I kissed a Girl,” by Katy Perry, and, ”Shook Me All Night,” by AC/DC.
Tera is a beautiful and very exotic-looking combination of half Thai and half English. She has relatively long black hair and brown eyes. This beauty stands five feet nine inches tall, weighs one hundred twenty-one pounds and she measures 36DD-24-34.
Tera is also very smart and extremely well spoken. In addition, she is a friendly lady who enjoys meeting her fans. Unfortunately, it is rare that she has much time to chat with anybody between shows. This is because of the fact that she is one of the most recognizable, beautiful and popular adult film stars in the industry. Because of all this, whenever Tera makes any sort of a personal appearance, she still packs the house to standing room only! (when I first began going to the clubs and meeting feature dancers eleven years ago last month, this is the way it was with any feature dancer no matter whether she was famous or a newcomer. How things have changed since then.)
Tera has learned a lot and has become a well above average feature dancer in a short time, and she is no one to be missed. So, everybody should get out to a club to see Tera perform and to meet her in person at their earliest opportunity. I am certain that no one could possibly be disappointed with the experience. Hey, if they are one of the world’s luckiest people, maybe they will be one of the fortunate ones that Tera decides to interact with during a show! Yes, Tera’s customer interaction is generally quite good.
