(ALBANY, CA) — Apple Computer, Inc. approved Small View Media’s Pocket Pin-Ups iPhone™ application for distribution and sale in the iTunes™ store. After an initial rejection, Apple reversed course today and, for the very first time in the iTunes™ store’s history, gave the thumbs up to distribute a vintage pin up photo app.
Now, for the first time, in the palm of your hand, Pocket Pin-Ups brings to the iPhone™ an exclusive collection of hundreds of stunning vintage pinup girl photos. The application provides access to authentic mid-century bikini, swimsuit, lingerie and calendar girl images from the largest privately owned archive of fully restored and retouched retro cheesecake prints and negatives. The scores of unique vintage photos in Pocket Pin-Ups are all previously unpublished shots from the 1930s through the 1950s. They include everything from beautiful glamour gal pictures to amazing girl-next-door snapshots.
The user will also find classic candid outdoors photographs, rare burlesque dancer pics and campy underground amateur camera club prints. One can easily flip through and navigate the gallery and download as many of the sexy Pocket Pin-Up photos as they like (there is No extra charge per image). They can then set any of the pictures as wallpaper on their iPhone™ or iPod ! Touch™, e-mail them to friends or assign them to contacts. Monthly Free version updates will add even more exciting pin up images to the gallery.
