Sextoy Dave airs on Millionaire Matchmaker Season 2 on March 19 at 7PM and 10PM PST on Bravo. In season 1, Matchmaker Patty was not happy with Dave’s lifestyle and demanded he get rid of the stripper pole from his living room.
Regarding removing the pole: ”Its not happening”, Dave shrugged. Despite this conflict, Dave’s episode was the most popular of Season 1, and Dave is back again looking for love through Patty’s service in Season 2.
Although the show is about finding love, many adult industry insiders claim that Dave’s real motive is free marketing for his adult product business. Sextoy Dave is a trademarked name that is easy to find on the internet. On SextoyDave.com one finds links to his various adult properties.
When asked about his marketing efforts, Dave always seeks to reassure that he really is open to finding true love on TV… But after that speech, he takes on a more serious tone and explains how difficult it is to market adult products to the mainstream.
”If I try to talk about the latest sex toy or discuss our affiliate or wholesale/dropship programs, I am told those topics are not appropriate or are simply uninteresting, but if I talk about my Hollywood lifestyle, hot parties, or simply appear as ”Sextoy Dave” on TV, suddenly everyone is interested and people end up asking about adult products and my company.”
We wish Dave the best of luck in Season 2 and really hope Patty helps him find true love. However, if not, at least it seems he will find some good free marketing for his adult business to a mainstream audience.
