(CANOGA PARK, CA) — The Free Speech Coalition (FSC) released its member Code of Ethics today. USLegal.com defines a code of ethics is ”A set of principles of conduct within an organization that guide decision making and behavior. The purpose of the code is to provide members and other interested persons with guidelines for making ethical choices in the conduct of their work. Professional integrity is the cornerstone of many employees’ credibility. Members of an organization adopt a code of ethics to share a dedication to ethical behavior and adopt this code to declare the organization’s principles and standards of practice.”
”Our Code of Ethics will serve two purposes,” said Diane Duke FSC Executive Director, ”To serve as a guide for FSC members and to help in our efforts to tell the truth about the adult entertainment industry as a vital and yes, ethical part of today’s society that adds to the quality of life for many consumers and a living wage and solid workplace for tens of thousands of employees.”
The Code of Ethics is the first step in the process; FSC intends to follow up the effort with Best Practices for specific industry segments.
”The adoption of this Code of Ethics is only the beginning of a process. Moving forward, FSC will work closely with each sector of the adult entertainment community to consider the application of the principles contained in the Code of Ethics to our businesses and our activities.”
FSC plans to utilize the document in working with its member businesses as well as in its lobbying efforts with state and national legislators.
