Myles’ Weekend Adventures: Bonjour mon amis! Comment ca va? Myles Shaffer here. Thanks to my illustrious editor-in-chief, Steve Nelson, I had received an invitation to the the first movie premiere I’ve ever had the good fortune to attend. So, on Saturday evening, September 27Th, I went to the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles to cover the event.

Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge Produced by Samantha Lewis and Joone Directed by Joone Starring Marco Banderas, BellaDonna, Mick Blue, Abbey Brooks, Steven St. Croix, James Deen, Charles Dera, Ben English, Manuel Ferrara, Gabriella Fox, Sasha Grey, Tommy Gunn, Jenna Haze, Jesse Jane, Shay Jordan, Katsuni, Shawna Lenee, Brianna Love, Brea Lynn, Riley Steele, Evan Stone, Stoya, Shyla Stylez, Veronica Rayne, Rhylee Richards, and many others including extras just like in Hollywood!

When I first arrived, I was checked in as media by the very lovely Dusty Marie, owner of the public relations firm of Dusty, Inc. Dusty was there to help take some of the work load from the able shoulders of Adella. As most people in the adult entertainment industry knows, Adella is in charge of Digital Playground’s public relations department. (I had the extreme pleasure of being introduced to the lovely Adella before the evening was over. Thank you for the introduction editor-in-chief.)

As time went by, a sizable number of the cast members arrived together in a long black limousine. I won’t attempt to name any of them since I can now only remember the name of one of those stars, and it wouldn’t be fair to the ladies in that limousine not to name them also. (They will all be named further along.)

In fact, a good number of the members of the cast were in attendance including: Steven St. Croix, Ben English, Sasha Grey, [Award Winning] Tommy Gunn, Jenna Haze, Jesse Jane, Katsuni, Shawna Lenee, Veronica Rayne, who was accompanied by her husband Jack Vegas, Rhylee Richards and Evan Stone. (I am not certain whether or not she is in the film, but Rhyse Richards was in attendance with her sister. I am tempted to say that I did see Rhyse’s name in the credits at the end of the movie. However, the cast was so large, there is no way I’m ever going to remember all the names I saw rolling by on the screen!

I might mention that there have been very few mainstream Hollywood films that starred so many names known to me as did Pirates II.

There was also a virtual adult entertainment industry who’s who in attendance on this star-studded night including such luminaries as: Rhiannon Alize, Eva Angelina, Arianna Armani, Anita Blue and Chris Charming, Frank Castle, Katie Cummings, director Robbie Dee, Sophia Dee, Kelly Devine, Emma Hart, Jenny Hendrix, Hanna Hilton, Nikki Hunter, Nikki Jayne, the legendary Ron Jeremy, Jules Jordan, Kayden Kross, superstar Sunny Lane, the legendary Dyanna Lauren, Lynn LeMay, Devon Lee, Marcus London, Shy Love, Gianna Lynn, Michelle Maylene, who was reporting for AVN, Persia, glamor photographer Holly Randall, who is rapidly becoming so famous as her mother Suze Randall for her great talent behind a still camera, Nicole Ray, Regan Reese, Linda Roberts, director Will Ryder, Kaci Starr, Alexis Silver, Syren, Brittney Stevens, Charlotte Stokely, Stephanie Swift, Teagan Presley, who was conducting on camera interviews with others, (Unfortunately, I do not know who she was reporting for.) Alexis Texas, Lexxi Tyler, Veronica Vaughn, Angie Venus, and Misty Vonage.

I bought a copy of the original, ”Pirates,” at the Spearmint Rhino Super Adult Store just a few weeks after it was released. However, I have never gotten around to watching it; therefore, it is still in the wrapper.

Since I have yet to see the original, ”Pirates,” I can only say that, ”Pirates II,” is the greatest XXX adult film I’ve ever seen! It has a good story line, and the acting is very good to excellent! (I have seen worse acting in Hollywood ‘B’ movies!) A lot of the dialogue in the film struck me as being quite funny, and the special effects are worthy of any mainstream Hollywood movie!

Another great thing about this movie is the fact that the costumes and the make-up are so good as that which is seen in any Hollywood movie. In fact, they are so good, it took me a while to recognize a couple of people I’ve known for several years!

Samantha Lewis and Joone can and should be very proud of this film. And, I hope they will see fit to continue to produce adult feature films such as ”Pirates II” for a long time to come.

Everybody should go out and purchase a copy of this film. I am thinking about purchasing a copy myself, and I’ve already seen it!

After the premiere had ended and the last dog had been hung, I walked up the street to the 740 Club for the after party. Unfortunately, by the time I got there, I had to take my place at the back of a good sized group of people who weren’t moving. After ten to fifteen minutes, I walked to the front of the line to see whether or not I could see what the hold up was. I couldn’t.

Just about the time I decided I wasn’t going to be able to see more than a few feet inside the club, Ron Jeremy and two ladies came out of the club and headed for the street.

I instantly thought that if, ”the Hedgehog,” was calling it a night, there was no good reason for me to stand around looking stupid. So, I caught up with Ronnie and the ladies and walked with them back to the corner of 8Th and Broadway, where Ronnie and the ladies went straight, while I walked down Broadway to 9Th Street, then over to the corner of 9Th and Hill, picked up my car and headed home.

I stopped in at the downtown Rouge Gentlemen’s Club just to see who might be around. The only familiar faces were those of the doorman and the manager, so I left after about ten minutes.

I then ran around the corner to the Spearmint Rhino. Since I knew a few of the house dancers who were working that night, I hung around for about twenty minutes, then called it a night and went straight home.

And there it is, my first ever attempt at reviewing a movie premiere. Let us all meet back here the next time and continue our ongoing discussion of sexy, gorgeous, women! Until then, everybody stay safe, have a great week, and live life as if there were no tomorrow!

Bonsoir et au revoir,

Myles Shaffer
