Naked Ambition by Michael Grecco:
Back in January I met a man named Michael Grecco who, as a photographer, is responsible for a very artistic coffee table book called ”Naked Ambition”. It was first brought to my attention by Michelle Aston who, along with an abundant assortment of other Industry personalities, is included in the tome with artistic photographic renderings of her full body tattoo.
Naked Ambition is a good read with forewords by Larry Flynt and Dave Navarro, as well as having a plethora of pictures. Each picture has commentary and the subject of the photograph’s name appears with a label. Some of these labels are true to form. For example, Peter North is ”The Fountain”, Katie Morgan, who is actually brilliant, is ”The Brainiac”, real-life swingers Alexandra Silk and Luc Wylder are ”The Pleasure Seekers”, Tera Patrick and Evan Seinfeld ”The Beauty and the Beast”, and my favorite: Ron Jeremy, ”The Jester”.
Why am I so late in writing about this wonderful book? Well, I’ve finally bought a coffee table to put it on. ”Naked Ambition: An R-rated Look at an X- rated Industry” sells for $30 on Amazon.com – check it out!

XRCO Awards:
The 24th Annual XRCO Awards Show was held on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 this year. The venue was a really nice place, the Highlands Nightclub in Hollywood, CA. I stayed in the press room most of the night because they said they were only allowing certain people with cameras into the show. That didn’t set well with me and some other voting members of the XRCO who were also deprived, but it was good seeing some old friends in the back when they wandered in. I wonder how this will affect future press coverage of the show? Ahem.
A few of the more illustrious and endowed girls there were Riley and Rhyse Richards, Misty Vonage, Veronica Rain, Brooke Haven, Gianna Lynn, Shayla LaVeaux, Gina Lynn, Hailey Starr, Nina Hartley, Amber Lynn, August, Mya Mason with her new boobs, Kayla Paige, Darla Crane, Sunset Thomas, Syren, Nicki Hunter, Elena Heiress, Natalie Demore, Puma Swede, Veronica Vaughn, Kitty Lee, Lexi Tyler, Gianna, Eva Angelina, Adrianna Lynn, Ashlynn Brooke, Lexi Lamour, Demi Delia, Savannah Stern, Alana Evans, jessica drake, Lisa Daniels, Shy Love and an entourage of girls from Shy’s agency.

Anita Blue Bukkake:
Brandon Iron has shot his last really big bukkake. This one starred Anita Blue and a bunch of unknown guys as well as a group of seasoned, veteran talent. I arrived with Rebecca Anderson, the Adult Industry News editorial assistant from San Francisco, to cover the event.
Brandon did a great job keeping order with a room full’a arrogant undisciplined no-named guys struttin’ around like they was pornstars. Too bad one of them stole Anita’s cell phone while she was in the shower washing off the goo. What an insult! She’s a good sport by blowing and getting jizzed on by a room full of guys, and then some clown rips her off! I don’t blame Brandon for not using unknown guys anymore. That’s why it’s so hard – and getting harder – for new guys to break into porn! Who do you trust? Some Joker?
Erotica L.A.:
Erotica L.A. Was a blast this year when I helped run the Protecting Adult Welfare (PAW) booth with Shane Way. Shane was also the most help as production assistant on the ”We are the World XXX” shoot I wrote about in my last column. There were legend stars out for the event in the fabulous form of Amber Lynn, Bionca Seven and Debi Diamond.
One of my favorite Supertankers, Minka, came by and as usual had a traffic jam of people crowd around the booth trying to get a gander at her gargantuan gajoombas. Kandi Heart and Anna Mills sauntered in as did Jessica D’Vine, Anita Cannibal wearing a see-through mesh top, and AINews journalist Rebecca Anderson.
A girl I hadn’t met named Goldie came by with Natalie Demore. Both had nice racks! Saw Metal Sanaz too. It was good to see Sanaz again! Look at pictures of her washing my ’67 Lincoln on MySpace.com/ReadAINews – I can sell it now… It’s clean.
Amber Lynn was at ELA helping raise money for the Henri Pachard project that was coming up. She raised enough to cover most of the petty cash while the PAW money collected was pooled, by Bill Margold, with the Free Speech Coalition’s. The FSC’s booth was next to PAW but Bill pulled down the barrier between booths and made one large booth out of it, donating giveaway VHS tapes to them, and the efforts of the talent at the booth (aside from the money Amber was collecting for the upcoming ”We are the World XXX” production) to the FSC.
Savannah Jane: Bounty Hunter!
Savannah Jane, who is training to be bounty hunter, was at the PAW booth helping out in more ways than one. Savannah was kind enough to help me serve a restraining order on an old blonde girl with no tits who was threatening me with bodily harm. Savannah found her and served her papers by telling her it was a script she had to read for a scene she was being booked for.
We all had a good laugh about it before Savannah moved to Miami, Florida, after the expo. Now if any of those threats the old flat blonde made come true, she and her thugs will be the first suspects. My theory is if she had tits she would have turned out to be a better person. After all, look at all the wonderful girls I feature here in my column!
The FOXE Awards:
After Erotica L.A. came the FOXE Awards show. F.O.X.E. stands for Fans of X- rated Entertainment and was the very first awards show in Adult Industry history to have the winners chosen by the fans. The first one I attended was back in 1992 at the now closed ”Country Club” venue in the San Fernando Valley.
It’s been a good run for FOXE but according to founder, Bill Margold, the fans aren’t attending as they have in the past. In spite of the smaller crowd, the event, at Whisky a Go Go this year, was still loads of fun.
Mistress of Ceremonies Summer Cummings was a kick, occasionally flashing the audience. She did a great job. There were dance numbers by Sunny Lane, Crystal Ashley and Midori sang a number. Crystal’s show not only had her huge hooters topless, but the parody with the guy whining about Brittany Spears was hilarious!
Ray Pistol was honored with an award named ”Patron Saint of Porn Preservation” for his Showgirl Hall of Fame in Las Vegas where cement slabs with the imprints of legend status stars line the walls.
I’ve also got about 20 incriminating pictures of Rebecca Anderson and Tianna Taylor groping and making out in a booth.
Bionca, Debi Diamond and Porsche Lynn all took the stage to receive homage. They each received a large playing card with their picture on it signifying their place in the first 52 legends of porn. Debi also received a trophy with a gold star on top, she being a lost star found.
The rest of the show was great with Savannah Jane and the smoking hot Jennifer Venelli, two deaf pornstars, doing each other for the cameras back by the bar at the end of the evening.
