Roma: Episode 1 received awesome praise in the full-page article – the largest review in the August magazine! The twist on the review, Ponante and Cachapero prepped for their porn-watching by renting several episodes of the HBO series, ”Rome.” They had hoped to compare and contrast the two works of visual art, and instead…they ultimately liked the sexy Daring version better!
Cachapero says Roma is ”most impressive was the director’s ability to pull off the feeling of a made-for-TV miniseries, while still staying true to his real purpose, which was to make a porno.” Roma’s director is critically-acclaimed adult lensman, Antonio Adamo. Adds the reviewer: Roma has ”a well-chosen soap- opera script…(with sexy) duos, threesomes,” etc.
And, wow: Ponante says Roma ”out-porns ‘Rome,’ from the sex to the acting!” Better yet, Adamo ”makes the characters more compelling…(he) did a really good job of casting actors.” the ”authentic clothing and jewelry amplified the sense of realism” and ”each girl was a golden goddess!”
The Daring DVD is a passionate, historical portrayal of a family struggle centering around Caesar. Roma features a plot all about rebellion and tension in the Senate – bringing politics into ancient brothels! The big-budget feature stars Julia Taylor, Jennifer Love, Claudia Rossi, Lydia St. Martin, Angel Dark, and George Uhl.
