(LOS ANGELES, CA) — This spring the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) kicked off National Internet Safety Month with a press conference at the historic National press Club in Washington DC. ASACP CEO Joan Irvine and Wicked Pictures Contract Performer/Writer/Director Stormy Daniels spoke at the press conference and Joy King, VP of Special Projects at Wicked Pictures attended. A highlight video of their speeches has been released on ASACP’s YouTube Channel at www.YouTube.com/Asacprta.

Irvine and Daniels each discussed the Restricted to Adults – RTA Website Label and the adult entertainment industry’s efforts to protect children from age- inappropriate internet content. After Daniels spoke she presented the two public service public service announcements (PSAs) that she was featured in for the RTA website label. Since the press conference, ASACP has released a third PSA on RTA featuring Tera Patrick and Evan Seinfeld.

Roy Karch Productions donated consulting services to ASACP in order to create the video and Dave Boccuzzi donated his time to edit the extensive press conference footage. The press conference was co-sponsored by the Website Rating and Advisory Council (WRAAC), a non-profit entity which operates ParentalControlBar.com.

”This is the first time ASACP has held a press conference in Washington DC and it provided a very unique opportunity to share what the adult entertainment industry is doing to protect children. We are thrilled to be able to share with our members and supporters, who make our work possible, footage from this press conference,” stated Irvine. ”We are so grateful to Stormy Daniels for her tireless efforts in support of RTA, and to AVN Hall of Famer Roy Karch and Dave Boccuzzi for donating their time and expertise to create the video of the press conference.”

ASACP developed the RTA label in 2006 as an easy to use and internationally recognized label that designates content for adults only. The RTA label is a unique string of ”meta data” which can easily be inserted into the computer code of any website. Parental filtering software recognizes the tag and prevents children from viewing adult content. The RTA label is free and universally available. Each company in the adult industry can help parents prevent their children from viewing age inappropriate by labeling their sites and services with the RTA label; it’s available at: www.rtalabel.org.

Founded in 1996, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating child pornography from the Internet. ASACP battles child pornography through its Cp reporting hotline, and by organizing the efforts of the online adult industry to combat the heinous crime of child sexual abuse. ASACP also works to help parents prevent children from viewing age-inappropriate material online. For more information, go to www.ASACP.org and www.RTAlabel.org.
