BDSM Industry Party:
While Rebecca Anderson was down here from San Francisco a while back, we all ended up at a party put on by friends Brad and Scott. Scott is a CPA to a lot of the people attending and Brad works at DungeonCorp.com. The party started Saturday night – at least that’s when Crystal Ashley and I arrived.

John Holmes Book Signing:
Jill Nelson and Jennifer Sugar, the authors of ”John Holmes: A Life Measured in Inches”, were present for a book signing at Book Soup, 8818 Sunset Blvd. In Hollywood on August 8th at 7pm. This was a free event with the authors and special guests Bob Chinn, Cass Paley, Bill Margold, and John’s widow Laurie Holmes, speaking.
Attending were Rhonda Jo Petty, Anita Cannibal and Ron Jeremy, and many behind the scenes people and industry old-timers. Though it’s been 20 years since Holmes’ death they spoke as if his days in the Industry were only yesterday and they will never forget him.
”John Holmes: A Life Measured in Inches” is a biography including material from the authors’ interviews with Laurie Holmes, Bill Amerson, Bob Chinn, Julia St. Vincent, Detective Tom Lange, Detective Frank Tomlinson, Paul Thomas, Ron Jeremy, Seka, Marilyn Chambers, Candida Royalle, Rhonda Jo Petty, Dr Sharon Mitchell, Bill Margold, and many more.
All were then invited to go to ”Silent Movie Theater”, 611 N Fairfax Avenue, Los Angeles, afterwards for a free midnight screening of ”Eruption” starring John Holmes and Leslie Bovee.
Bill Margold spoke before the movie in his casually catheretic and articulate way, and was joined by Ron Jeremy who, when coming in and attempting to sit in the back, was goaded by Bill to join him sitting on the edge of the stage. They talked about John ”The King” Holmes and the early days of the industry until the movie started.
To my delight Bunny De LA Cruz attended with Ron to watch the movie. It pleases me to see both Ron Jeremy and I have the same taste in women. Later in the evening Anita Cannibal’s panties reportedly wound up on Ron’s head, and fell off in Bunny’s car.

On August 31, 2008, there was be a ”We are the World XXX” reunion at the Mission Hills Bowl. This Bare Bowling event’s theme will be one of thanks and gratitude to those who freely donated their time, talent and bodily fluids to a production dedicated to making a movie where the proceeds would have gone to aid an ailing director, Henri Pachard. I’ll write more about how the production fell apart in a future column since nowhere on line can you find the truth.
