Golly, summer is almost over and elections will be upon us before we know it, so Please get registered, get informed about the incumbents and the candidates, and get your vote recorded in November.
Nationally, the next President might well shape personal freedom as we know it by his Supreme Court nominees, his selections of cabinet officials, nominations for federal judgeships, and his oversight and policies at Department of Justice, Department of Defense, and other executive branch entities.
In my opinion, we Americans had better be active participants in the November elections, or be prepared to see some of our cherished freedoms get targeted! I feel that we owe it to our present and future children to vote, especially this year. As for me, in spite of my military background and 25 years of active duty in the Us Army, I am definitely not voting republican (I am a long time registered Libertarian, but vote issues and candidates independent of any party line).
Within the Adult Video Industry, August has traditionally presented a filming lull when the heat of summer sometimes makes filming a challenge, and when Industry folks take their vacations. Because of the expansion of free masturbatory adult material viewable in website tours, the piracy problem which plagues porn manufacturers, the copyright infringement issues allegedly associated with some ”tube” sites that contain uploaded porn from viewers, and the glut of adult footage from new producers, the August ”lull” seemed like it started in June this year. I’m even hearing recent rumors of some companies starting to go ”dark” one day a week, and of some who are laying off a number of their warehouse staff now that physical DVD sales are being challenged by the aforementioned, and by Video-On-Demand and other Internet means of delivering porn to consumers.
I won’t be surprised to see significant cell phone advances in the near future which will position mobile as the major porn delivery option of the future, complete with private viewing methods and/or direct to TV or computer screen technology. I think it will be a ”take-it-with-you” porn access platform that will also facilitate easy release of stress via masturbation (e.g., in office building restroom stalls), and a resulting increase in workplace productivity and focus, not to mention better attentiveness on highways or at meetings.
