(CLEARWATER, FL) — ED Publications, producers of the Annual Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show – the only national awards show for the gentlemen’s club and feature entertainment industries – has announced the nominees for the prestigious ”Overall Entertainer of the Year” Award and ”Overall Gentlemen’s Club of the Year” Award. Nominees were voted on at the ED Publications website (www.EDpublications.com or www.ExoticDancer.com); the Final Ballot will also be posted on the site as well.
In 2008, the nominees for ED’s ”Overall Entertainer of the Year” Award include adult film starlet Carmen Hart and showgirl Jada Deville, two 2007 Entertainer of the Year nominees. Joining them are Ed’s 2007 ”Newcomer of the Year” Keira Riley and ‘07’s ”Newcomer of the Year” runner-up Schevelle. Each of the four entertainers will perform at the 11th Annual Awards Show, which will be held Wednesday, August 27, at ”the Joint” inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
”We are pleased to present such an elite foursome of entertainers for our ‘Entertainer of the Year’ Award,” says ED Publications’ Associate Publisher Dave Manack. ”Each entertainer is at the top of her game, and they truly represent the best that the feature entertainment industry has to offer.”
ED Publications has also released the eight nominees for ”Overall Gentlemen’s Club of the Year,” an award which honors the clubs which have been selected by online voters as the top adult nightclubs in the country. In 2008, the eight nominees for this prestigious award include (in alphabetical order): Delilah’s Gentlemen’s Club in Philadelphia, PA; Hustler Club in New York, NY; Penthouse Club in Houston, Tx; Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club in Las Vegas, NV; Schiek’s Palace Royale in Minneapolis, MN; Scores in Chicago, Il; the Lodge in Dallas, Tx; and Tootsie’s in N. Miami, FL.
”While it is very difficult to nominate only eight clubs for the ‘Overall Gentlemen’s Club of the Year’ Award, we believe that voters have done a great job of selecting some of the most beautiful, most successful and most well known clubs in the country,” says Manack. ”any one of these clubs would be a deserving winner.”
Several other awards will be presented at the ED’s Awards Show, including regional club awards and three additional entertainer awards, including the ”Adult Movie Feature of the Year” Award, the ”Newcomer of the Year” Award and the ”Club Owners’ Favorite of the Year” Award. There is also an award for ”Cool New Product of the Year,” ”Feature Club of the Year,” ”Club Chain of the Year,” ”Industry Innovator of the Year,” and the Annual Ed’s Hall of Fame inductions.
The Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show is held each year as the crowning event of the Annual Gentlemen’s Club Owners Expo.
