(LAS VEGAS, NV) — The Sin City Chamber of Commerce (SCCC) is pleased to announce that the best Chili in Sin City, Las Vegas will be determined at the May 3, 2008 Sin City Chamber Chicken Ranch Experience. The Sin City District Chili Cook-Off will have chili cooks from all over Nevada and as far as New Jersey competing for the ”Best Chili in Sin City.”
The Sin City District Chili Cook-Off is sanctioned by the International Chili Society and all cooks must be a registered member of the International Chili Society. The registration process is done at: www.chilicookoff.com/Event/Event_Contestant.asp?EventID=2210. There will be prizes for the top three chili entries during the 2008 SCCC Chicken Ranch Experience.
The Sin City Chili Cooks meeting will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, May 3rd. The cooking will begin at 10:00 a.m. And judging will be held at 2:00 p.m. The Chicken Ranch Experience will begin at 12 noon and People’s Choice Chili served starting at 1:00 p.m. along with hot dogs, hamburgers and salads.
During the Sin City Chili Cook Off the Chief Judge will be Norm Gaul and the Chief Scorekeeper will be Bobbie Gaul. Patti & Fred Summers will be regular judges and help with coordination.
Debbie Rivenbaugh, General Manager of the Chicken Ranch and Larry Davis, Chairman of the Sin City Chamber of Commerce Advisory Board will be judges Contestants with RVs will be allowed to park at the Chicken Ranch after 5:00 p.m. on Friday Evening and be invited to attend the Friday Night Cocktail Party at the Chicken Ranch.
Rooms have been reserved by the Sin City Chamber at the Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Casino for $99 per night for Friday and Saturday. Reservations must be made thru the Sin City Chamber. Call 702-450-7222 to reserve a room and payment must be made in advance to secure the reservation.
