(NEW YORK, NY) — Joanna Angel will be one of the featured starlets for the season premiere of LA Ink, where people from all walks of life come see Tattoo artist and entrepreneur Kat Von D.

The new season premieres January 8th on TLC. Check local listings for time and channel.

Joanna had a memorable day with the cast and crew of LA Ink. She was excited with the outcome of her tattoo, which was done by Corey Miller. ”the tattoo is of a broken woman’s symbol with the face of a woman in it. It was supposed to represent the duality of the strengths and weaknesses that come along with being a female entrepreneur in the adult industry.”

Corey Miller is a legend in the industry. Tattooing for 25 years, this California native has inked people all around the world from Japan and Amsterdam to Hawaii and Paris. He specializes in black & gray portraits and dragons that merge the traditional and classic styles with his own.

”The whole day was a lot of fun. The artists had me do a fake orgasm while I was getting tattooed and everyone got a kick out of it. I also did some pole tricks and made Corey feel as uncomfortable as I possibly could.”

The show centers around artist Kat Von D, who has come home to Los Angeles to fulfill her dream of opening up her own tattoo shop. Playing by her own rules, Kat lives a fast-paced, rebel lifestyle. Hers is a life of freedom: she sets her own schedule, picks her clients, sleeps late, and parties all night. For her shop to be a success, Kat will need to learn how to balance her lifestyle and her business while managing a colorful staff of renowned artists. LA Ink will offer a rare glimpse into an LA that is seldom seen, through the eyes of a true insider.

In a city known for its tattoo culture, LA Ink is sure to stand out — drawing clients from all over the world and from all walks of life. But with popularity comes headaches, drama and a lot of hard work.
