Marcus London is a consummate professional both on and off camera. Between his work on the Stormy Daniels’ comedy/adventure features and his regular updates on Oakland, CA fetish site FuckedAndBound.com London is a busy man. He has found time to marry his beloved Devon Lee (in Las Vegas after AVN AEE last year) and work on a variety of intriguing side projects.
London has always had his plate pretty full. Starting out as a strip club manager in London, England, he began to do some stripping of his own and moved into softcore filming. As his onscreen career bloomed, Marcus moved to southern California to pursue a career in the Industry. He wouldn’t mind returning to club management in the future, but right now has his hands full with feature work and shooting in Oakland.
This year the AVN AEE promises to be exciting for Marcus. One of the stars of multiple nominee Operation Desert Stormy, London is pleased to see the work receive the accolades he feels it deserves. He’ll be integral in the next Stormy installment Tropical Stormy, set to begin shooting in April.
In the meantime, London fills his time with writing, planning an “All Porn Star” Chippendale’s style dance troupe with fellow performer Tommy Gunn, and is toying with the idea of making a “Scary Movie” type spoof of the behind the scenes events on a typical set.
When shooting for Oakland company Twisted Factory, Marcus is very popular among his female co-stars due to his professional demeanor (among other things) and generally serves the role as the “break in guy” for female talent shooting BDSM for the first time.
Instead of flying to and from Oakland from Los Angeles, he and his wife usually turn shooting days into a day trip, enjoying the coastline and all California has to offer.
Marcus has pretty clear ideas regarding the future of the Industry. “Sixty to seventy percent of the companies will be gone” in his estimation as the trend toward online subscription and softcore hotel based content continues. This, coupled with an increase in high quality full length features will cause the cream to rise to the top in his estimation. It’s a change Marcus is pleased to see, despite the difficulty it will present to long term performers (web-led companies prefer to have continuously fresh faces as opposed to established talent.)
Marcus has an eclectic, educated man’s aesthetic. He prefers movies with “a bit more intrigue” and lists Alfie and Emmanuelle as among his favorite mainstream movies. In the Adult genre, he tends toward the likes of Craving and Slave to Sin…
When asked what the worst hotel he has ever stayed in was, Marcus had only to think back one week, to the room he and his wife lodged at for Stormy Daniels’ wedding in New Orleans. Although not completely abysmal, for the rate they paid one would have expected to not have a mattress that likely weathered Hurricane Katrina. Nonetheless, Marcus London takes such things in stride like the pro he is.
