(LOS ANGELES, CA) — The Players Ball will take center stage as the official after- party for Xbiz Awards, scheduled Feb. 7 at the Highlands in Hollywood, Calif.
"Xbiz Hollywood has always been a top-notch webmaster show," D-Money said. "For me, throwing a Players Ball in my own backyard will be extra fun. Our party has been known to attract many celebrities over the years. I’m sure this L.a. party will bring many more."
Celebrating its 10-year anniversary, the Players Ball is an excellent way to close out the Xbiz Awards, offering an after-party unlike any Xbiz has done before. The Players Ball is closing 2007 stronger then ever, having thrown five blowout events in just a year. Rapper Ice Cube performed a full impromptu concert earlier this year, and for the upcoming Players Ball, Dj Quik and Amg have been selected to bring the house down.
"It’s an L.a. event, so we wanted to have one of the biggest West Coast rap producers/rappers around, Dj Quik," D-Money said. "His lyrics are true to our game, very sexual. I know the crowd will dig this one, even if they don’t know Dj Quik."
D-Money also said he’s especially excited that this Players Ball will begin as soon as the Xbiz Awards end, meaning Dj Quik will begin performing almost immediately for an already packed house.
"I guarantee this Players Ball will be one of the best yet," D-Money said.
"We were determined for this year’s Xbiz Awards event to surpass last year’s as a party as well as a great awards ceremony," Xbiz Publisher Tom Hymes said. "What better way than to have the Players Ball pick up where the awards leave off. I don’t mean to brag, but it is going to rock the entire nation."
