(TORONTO, ONTARIO) — Controversial Canadian rock band Wank Punter has announced that they will be performing at the 8th annual “Everything To Do with sex Show”, in Toronto on Saturday, October 20, 2007 on the Feature Stage. The band will also be hosting a booth on the show floor, manned by XXX Film Stars Regan Anthony and Ryder Skye, along with KSEX Radio personality Tony Batman.
Wank Punter CDs, merchandise, and memorabilia, as well as photographs and autographs from the adult industry stars in attendance, will all be available to visitors at the booth.
Wank Punter is Canada’s very own rock/porn band, with two CDs worth of hard- driving rock and roll songs that are informed and influenced by the world of adult entertainment. The band, musical descendants of the outrageous Frank Zappa, are veterans of dozens of controversial shows in venues throughout Canada and the Us. Fans have most recently enjoyed performances by the band on Playboy Tv’s “Nite Calls with Jesse Jane”, and Wank Punter also performed live in 2006 at the legendary Sunset Strip venue Whiskey-a-Go-Go, once home to music legends the Doors and Guns N Roses.
Wank Punter’s eponymous first CD – now out of print and a collector’s item – was released in 2005 on a small, independent label. Featuring songs like “Glory Hole Gloria” and “Oh My Felicia!”, the disc enabled the band to garner attention both inside and outside the adult film world. No strangers to playing live onstage, the band performed at various adult industry expos, marketing their product at every stop and winning new fans with every live performance. Since then, Wank Punter has seen their popularity skyrocket. They now count Canadian promoter Gary Cormier – the promoter who helped to bring bands such as the Ramones and the Police to Canadian audiences for the first time – as a team member. The list of events the band has played is long, and they show no signs of slowing down. They plan to return to the studio and begin work on their third album – tentatively titled “Plain Brown Wrapper” – after their appearance at the “Everything To Do with sex Show”.
Wank Punter’s current CD, featuring packaging that makes it look like a large condom wrapper, is entitled “Unlubricated” and is available now on itunes.com, as well as at select retailers throughout Canada. Containing songs like “Driver”, “Kirsten Price” and “Girl Like you”, it promises to be a smash hit for the group. Toronto’s sexiest consumer show, the “Everything To Do with sex Show” is back for its 8th year in a row.
