(LOS ANGELES, CA) — Internationally renowned – and wickedly irreverent – photographer, Justice Howard, proudly announces the opening of her exhibition, Toys Kill, along with the eccentric and outlandish graphic and toy designs by the legendary Jim Koch, at Meltdown Comics, 7522 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, California, October 6, 2006, with an artist reception from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is Free.
The exhibition will run through to October 31, 2007. A portion of the Justice Howard’s sales proceeds will benefit the Children of the Night, a private, non-profit, tax-exempt organization founded in 1979 dedicated to rescuing girls and boys from prostitution and the domination of vicious pimps.
Artistically articulate, Justice Howard (www.justicehoward.com) specializes in exotically erotic photography with an edge. Striking, scintillating, sultry, sexual, sensuous and sensual, Justice Howard’s photography consists of an aesthetic architecture that enhances the female form and the personas of the human condition in all its kaleidoscopic temperaments. Justice goes past the edge to capture the images that most of us secretly desire. While being evocative, and often confronting, Justice Howard’s work has always been precocious and has attained greatness parallel to Herb Ritts, Helmut Newton, Robert Mapplethorpe and Annie Liebowitz.
Her work has appeared in print in magazines and hardcover books in over 25 nations, and she has been lauded in countless highly successful art gallery exhibitions. If you’ve ever flipped through a copy of Maxim, Blender, Cosmo, Details, Jane, Playboy, Revolver, Easy Rider, and even Newsweek, you’ve surely seen the work of Justice Howard – a lot.
Constantly in demand by celebrity clients for her unencumbered collaborative vision to capture her subjects true and inspired self in photographic form, Justice Howard has worked with an enviable list of entertainment industry royalty, including, Marilyn Mansion, Siegfried and Roy, Dave Navarro, Waylon Jennings, Rich Little, Billy Idol, Dick Dale, Blue Man Groups, Mamie Van Doren, Penthouse Pets and others.
Also exhibiting his work is Jim Koch (www.jimkoch.com), an irreverent, esoteric and eccentric rock and roll poster and motor sports artist, and an over-the-top toy designer, whose work blends retro 50/60’s bug-eyed monster drag racer cartoon imagery with present day skate punk meets biker, slacker, greaser, and motor-head.
There will be burlesque performances throughout the evening, a Dj and other entertainment. Therefore, Toys + Hot Women = a good time to be had by all.
