Striving to stay on the cutting edge of technological advances in the fast-paced adult industry, classic powerhouse VCX of Las Vegas has just announced the availability of many of it’s over 300 Golden Era Classics in DivX’s new download-to-own format.
“Video and audio quality is amazing for a download” says VCX President David Sutton. “Further, Mac users can now download the new DivX player, which is compatible on their platforms for the first time. The DivX software, which allows the customer to burn the movie in DivX format to a DVD, when used in conjunction with a DivX enabled DVD player, allows the user to watch the movie on a television screen in addition to their computer. It’s just an all-around more enjoyable experience for watching an adult feature.”
VCX will continue to offer a limited number of its titles in both the standard 15 day DivX download, as well as the new Download-to-Own option. The software is now compatible with the operating systems for both the Mac and PC platforms.
“We used to worry that the download and streaming of our titles would dilute the market for our DVDs,” Sutton continued, “But it’s been shown time and time again by companies that handle both classic and new-release titles that we are dealing with two completely disparate groups of customers: those that buy from a DVD from a store or the internet, and those that prefer the instant gratification of streaming their content. On our own site, VCX.com, we saw no reduction in DVD sales when we rolled out the Download-to-Own option.”
