(VAN NUYS, CA) — After an absence of over 4 years, OGV (also known as Odyssey Group Video) has decided to re-launch the line with new productions. For its first release they have asked Shane to come out of retirement and direct a new series, Shane and Friends.
“It’s been a long time between movies for Odyssey and there is no better way to return then with the first female gonzo director, porn icon, Shane. Shane began her career in the series by Seymore Butts which was shot by Sunshine Films. From there, she started the phenomenon known as Shane’s World, which was distributed by OGV until 2001. And here we are, so many years later with Odyssey now part of Sunshine and Shane back in the fold” Says Bob East, newly returned to Odyssey. “What’s changed with Shane over the years? Not much. For here first outing she decided to take a group of performers to Lake Mead for a shoot on a house boat; this classic of her style and of gonzo. The most of the new gonzo is done like a feature, not free form like in the old days.”
For her part, Shane had this to say- “I’ve worked with Bob for most of my career and he understands me. When I shoot there is no script and no pre-conceived plan for what will happen. I get a group of people together in one place and let it go from there. Hot, fun girls and good-looking guys, a party atmosphere and you’re bound to have some wild times and sex! What more can you ask for? Sex is about a good time and we have always had that on my shoots. I am really looking forward to this. I hope the fans will”
