Cleopatra of the Nile Models, Acts, Dances, Sings, Produces, Directs, Shoots and Edits – she should be hired as more than talent!
Finally for the record, here are the true facts about the abilities of the “Jill of All Trades” Cleopatra of the Nile. Not only talented in front of the camera, we see she is also quite talented technically as well.
Take the 13 films for Anarchy Films and Python Pictures which include the “Whore Gaggers” series, “Trombone Blown” series, “Street Walkers #3” for example. These movies did quite well comparatively. “Whore Gaggers” series has been nominated 2 times for “Best Oral – Themed Series” at AVN Awards 2006 and 2007. What was omitted from the interview given by the designated director was how much work Cleopatra had put into those movies.
“My creative changes to the editing and some of the introductions I worked on – my creative input – is why some of those movies received the 4 stars that they did. Movie number 2 would not have happened without me!” Cleopatra, although faced with many challeges, managed to pull together the project at hand to save face and time for the many people involved. “You know, I was new to this at the time…”
With the very limited budgets and thanks to her finesse with a still camera, her quality photography of box cover material can be seen on several of the box covers for all these movies. She apparently was learning technical skills such as picture in picture on the fly and then teaching it to others. “You understand that when you have been in front of the camera so many times, you develop a flare for understanding what looks hot and what is going to attract the eye of the buyer… that’s what drove me to keep doing it. Although, I don’t have a need to retire from in front of the camera myself at this point, I can see that I already have a natural flare for this side of the business…”
Movie number 9 received 4 stars and was picked as movie of the month. Quite a lot of the final editing was Cleo’s work in which, according to Cleopatra, was at the worst time for her since she was sick. Regaurdless, what needed to be done, was done.
She is true to her word and always comes through in the end. “I had to… I made that obligation and I am not one for failure. After this movie, I had to pull out as it was becoming increasingly difficult to make these films with the health and stress issues this job was giving me considering I am still filming my own movies and travelling the country to sign autographs at my own signings… I JUST CAN’T BE EVERYTHING TO EVERYBODY! Although I have been very guilty of trying.”
There are times she is so overwhelmed with work and health setbacks that she can’t accept all the work coming in. ” When I left, the next film only received 2 stars… Anarchy begged me to please help and asked me to do the photos and handle all the paperwork… I had to refuse as much as I loved them down there at the office.”
Her Production abilities are evident as well. “I had to become bad cop on the set so much that I didn’t enjoy that but I will tell you, it was me that gave those production companies the intensity they were looking for. I do apologise to the talent if it made it harder to work with me but I had to produce what was required. On three occasions, I did 75% to 80% of everything which is why you will see my name all over the credits in 4 or 5 categories.”
