(LAS VEGAS, NV) — For the ninth straight year, ED Publications, publisher of Exotic Dancer Club Bulletin Magazine, will salute the nation’s top clubs, feature entertainers, industry businesses and adult club executives with a full-blown Awards Show during the 14th Annual Gentlemen’s Club Owners Expo.
The Annual Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2006, from 9-11 pm at the Wayne Newton Theater inside the Stardust Hotel & Casino.
Nearly 20 national awards will be presented at the 2006 Awards Show, a show that will also include command performances by the six nominees for the coveted Ed’s "Entertainer of the Year" Award. These lucky nominees include Claudia Monet, Donna Doll, Nikki Benz, Taya Parker, Tanya Taylor and Zoe Britton (see a full list of Award Nominees at the bottom of this page).
Each year since the inception of the Awards Show in 1998, the show has featured top comic hosts like Robert Schimmel, Pauly Shore, Father Guido Sarducci, Dom Irrera, Rich Vos and Rhonda Shear. In 2006, the Pit Bull of Comedy-Bobby Slayton-will step into that slot for the first time.
A true "comic’s comic," Slayton has been performing his own intense style of stand-up comedy for 25 years, becoming one of the best-known and most energetic comedians on the road. Slayton has also had scene-stealing roles in such films as Get Shorty, Ed Wood and Wayne’s World 2.
Special guest presenters have also become the norm at the ED Awards Show, and the 2006 version is no exception. Penthouse’s Pet of the Year for 2006 and Ed’s 2006/2007 Adult Nightclubs Guide cover girl Jamie Lynn will be on hand as a special presenter (courtesy of Penthouse Magazine), as will adult film super starlet and feature entertainer Stormy Daniels and adult film legend and part-time comedian Ron Jeremy.
And just as past Awards Shows have introduced some of the newest and hottest talent in the adult industry, the 2006 show will include appearances by two of ClubJenna’s hottest contract girls, Sophia Rossi and Krystal Steal.
