Director Brad Armstrong’s acclaimed 2006 production Curse Eternal received 10 major nominations, including Best Video, Best Hi Def Production, Best Director, Best Actress Video for Wicked contract star jessica drake, Best Actor Video for Wicked contract actor/director Randy Spears, as well as a nod for Best Marketing Campaign.
This big budget action adventure’s riveting erotic content was rewarded with several sex scene noms as well, including Best Group Scene Video, Best Three-Way Scene video (for jessica drake, Kaylani Lei, & Eric Masterson), and two nominations in the Best Couples Scene Video category (for jessica drake & Eric Masterson, and Kaylani Lei & Randy Spears, respectively).
Armstrong’s visually elegant shot-on-film period piece Eternity received a total of eight nominations, including Best Film, Best Director Film, Best Actress Film (Stormy Daniels), Best Actor Film (Randy Spears), Best Supporting Actress Film (jessica drake), Best Anal Scene Film (Keri Sable & Randy Spears), Best Couples Scene Film (Stormy Daniels & Randy Spears), and Best All Girl Scene Film (jessica drake & Stormy Daniels). Armstrong’s ambitious Devinn Lane vehicle Lovers Lane also snared the talented and versatile Spears a Best Actor Video nod.
The Camp Cuddly Pines Power Tool Massacre, Jonathan Morgan’s hilarious, multiple award winning ode to the slasher films of yesteryear, performed well once again, scoring five important nods including Best Comedy, Best Hi Def Production, Best Actress Video (Stormy Daniels), and two mentions in the Best Supporting Actor Video category (Eric Masterson and Randy Spears). The Best Comedy category also featured Michael Raven’s surprise comedic hit Women On Top.
Other titles to receive recognition included Raven’s Stormy Daniels-scripted thriller Watching Samantha, which snared Best Video, Best Actress Video (Stormy Daniels), Best Couples Scene Video (Daniels & Spears) and a Best Supporting Actress Video mention for voluptuous new Wicked Girl Kirsten Price, who also received a nod for the coveted title of Best New Starlet.
In recognition of her growing maturation as a feature filmmaker in her own right, Stormy also received a nomination for Best Director Video for her achievements in helming Wicked’s Second Thoughts (which also snared nods for Best Anal Scene Video and Best Oral Scene Video), while both she and jessica drake received noms as the year’s Best Contract Performer & Most Valuable Contract Star.
