(LAS VEGAS, CA) — "Back To School" is the theme of the 14th Annual Gentlemen’s Club Owners Expo and the curriculum, if you will, calls for analyzing the formula of how adding a well-trained staff to a solid customer base will equal success for an adult nightclub. Ed Publications, producer of the Annual Expo, has put together an agenda that will both educate and entertain all Expo attendees, including some things never before seen at the adult nightclub industry’s only national convention.

For example, for the first time in the history of the Expo a world renowned, professional speaker from outside of the business-Rick Segel-will provide an informational and motivational seminar for Expo attendees. Segel will discuss how club owners and operators can train and motivate their staff, while also properly catering to and attracting more customers. Segel has spoken over 1,400 times in 46 states, as well as in Canada, Puerto Rico, Turkey and Australia. He has done seminars for such heavyweights as McDonalds, Staples, Petco, Dillard’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, Texaco, Shell and the U.S. Postal Service, and has authored six books.

Another Expo "first" will be showcased during this convention’s Keynote Address. For the first time ever, a "house dancer" will be providing the Keynote Address in front of a room packed with club owners, operators and other industry professionals. But this is no ordinary house dancer. In 2004, 28-year-old author Diablo Cody left behind her "normal" day job and set about to learn and live the lifestyle of an entertainer by dancing in ten different adult nightclubs within the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. She later parlayed her experiences into her first book, Candy Girl: A Year in the Life of an Unlikely Stripper, and over the past several months has enjoyed a whirlwind of publicity, including a guest appearance on the David Letterman Show.

The final "first" will hit some club owners right where it counts-in the wallet. For the first time ever, half-price registration will be offered to anyone who has never been to the Expo before.

"One of our goals at Ed Publications is to increase attendance at the Expo among club owners and managers who have yet to attend the conference and benefit from the panel discussions and the networking opportunities," says Ed Publications Publisher Don Waitt. "In addition to the educational panel sessions incentive, Ed is offering a special half-price registration fee for those club owners, and particularly managers, who have never attended the Expo. We know that if they come once, they’ll keep coming back."

But at Expo 2006, school won’t always be "In session." in addition to the educational seminars and the 300-booth Expo Tradeshow, the Expo’s "extra-curricular" activities are an equal part of the equation. Two nightly parties-Tuesday’s Opening Night Party at Scores Las Vegas and Wednesday’s Club Owners Appreciation Party at Sin, featuring the Pure Gold Bikini Contest-gives attendees the opportunity to unwind, meet with old friends and network with new business associates in a relaxed environment.

The crowning Expo event is-as has been the case for the past eight years-the Annual Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show, which will once again be held at the Wayne Newton Theater inside the Stardust Resort & Casino. Hosted by Bobby Slayton, the "Pit Bull of Comedy," the Award Show will feature national awards for both clubs and feature entertainers, and will include special guest presenters such as Vivid Pictures’ Briana Banks, Wicked Pictures’ Carmen Hart and ClubJenna’s Sophia Rossi. The six "Entertainer of the Year" nominees will also perform individual sets throughout the show, as show attendees will have the opportunity to see the "best of the best."

Registration fees are $319 for industry attendees and $219 for entertainers (or get the early discounts of $269 and $169 by registering before May 30).
