(PHILADELPHIA, PA) — One of the oldest and well-liked (and even a little bit respected) daily news sites – Porno News Network (PornoNewsNetwork.com) – suddenly "vanished" last week. Just hours after publishing its’ Friday edition, the seven-year old Philadelphia-based adult industry info outlet simply disappeared from cyber-space. Fans, industry insiders, and press agents who regularly clicked onto the always dependable/rarely controversial news site were surprised and disappointed to receive a generic "website cannot be located" message.

No one was more surprised or more disappointed (or pissed off) than PNN owner and Editor-in-Chief Don Benn who by mid-afternoon had been deluged with dozens of emails and phone calls, some asking, others demanding to know what the heck had happened to fun to read, even better to look at website. Industry insiders privy to one of the worse kept secrets in the business (that due to failing health Benn was due to retire at the end of February) believing that Benn had simply "pulled the plug" earlier than expected (or perhaps worse) were relieved to discover that he was as much in the dark as they were. After assuring everyone that (a) the problem was not health related and (b) PNN still had some life left in it, Benn decided to get some answers.

As stated on PNN’s front page (which, of course can’t be read since the entire site no longer exists), the site was designed and hosted by Sensational Video and Point2Porn. The Miami-based video and website production company was PNN’s third host in seven years and until last week had provided them with nothing short of excellent service. Benn immediately contacted Sensational’s head honcho, Clint Works, who disclosed that "A corrupt served was to blame" and that he and his staff were "working non-stop" to remedy the problem. Benn, a firm believer that (a) "shit happens" and (b) "shit usually happens to him" took Works at his word and hoped that the problem would be fixed in time for Monday’s edition.

However, when Monday arrived, it brought a whole new set of problems with it. Now, readers trying to access PNN were redirected to a site called All Amateur Porn. Once again the emails and the phone calls arrived, once again Benn called Works, and once again Works assured Benn that the situation was "only temporary". True to his word, the problem was only "temporary" Twenty-four hours later All Amateur Porn was down… and replaced by All Amateur Gangbangs!

Benn’s next conversation with Works began with Works exclaiming "I’ve got some good news and some bad news for you". The "bad news" was that the past sixteen months worth of PNN archives (approximately 2500 articles, interviews, movie reviews, and general bullshit) had been "lost". Quite frankly, Benn could not recall what the "good news" part of the conversation consisted of.

So here’s the bottom line: There was no new edition of PNN yesterday, no new edition today, and there will be no new issue tomorrow. After that it’s anyone’s guess when or where or in what format (or even if) PNN will return. In the meantime, for those readers who enjoy seeing amateurs get banged (gang or otherwise) be sure to check out Porno News Network. And, for the latest and best adult industry news and information just keep reading whatever you’re reading now.
