As a public service, this New Years holiday notice will include information on how to prevent, and at least lessen the effects of, a hangover. Many of us know the drill. On New Years Eve, we somehow feel the need to down all forms of liquefied intoxicating chemicals to the point of mental debilitation. Then in the morning, reeking of vodka, cigarettes and vomit, we wake up next to a complete stranger (hopefully with an anatomy we prefer), and beg God to take us right then and there so as to halt the incessant pounding within what was once our cerebral cortex.
So what to do? Well, first, don’t drink. Right. Ok, stick with one type of drink. Right. Ok, before the onslaught begins, eat a full meal, drink non-alcoholic liquids and take a multi-vitamin. While drinking, try to consume sports drinks in between the downing of the alcoholic beverages. If you can think of it at the time, take 2 aspirin before going to bed. When (if) you get up, 2 more aspirin, another vitamin and a breakfast that includes a banana, eggs and orange juice. And contrary to popular belief, coffee may actually make things worse, not better. So there you go. What other affiliate program cares about your health as well as your traffic?
New Years Day is on Sunday so our offices will be closed on Monday, the 2nd of January. We will be e-mail accessible for serious issues that may arise, with administrative concerns addressed on Tuesday the 3rd upon our return.
Finally, we are not doctors and we make no warranties or promises, implied or otherwise, about any of the above. You are on your own, people. So have a terrific New Years but be careful. We are planning some great things for 2006 and want you along for the ride.
