(BOSTON, MA) — Boston Alternative Media (BAM), the New England adult video and publishing company that created the AVN Award-nominated Boston Baby Dolls series, has announced it has retained the services of local marketing consultant Steve Porter to help promote its increasingly varied product lines and develop a content program for webmasters and video producers.

While photographing models for his print publications over the last 10 years, publisher John Ferguson took the natural leap to video, launching the Boston Baby Dolls series to rave reviews. Boston Baby Dolls has received AVN award nominations in both 2005 and 2006 for “Best Amateur Series.” BAM will be exhibiting January 5-8th at the AVN Expo – at booth #1030 with Relaxxx Entertainment.

“Over the past couple of years, we have shot a tremendous amount of very unique, all-amateur local east coast talent and it’s just begging to be released,” Ferguson said. “We have access to a large reservoir of untapped talent here on the east coast. But we’re still a small company, and hopefully, we can find companies who want to grow right along with us.”

Steve Porter brings 16 years of mainstream marketing, promotion and retail experience to BAM – with six of those years working in various clients within the adult industry. Porter most notably served as Advertising and Marketing Director for Metro Interactive’s retail division (Capital Video Corporation / Amazing Superstores) from 1999 to 2003, and has helped several local performers and webmasters break into the business.

BAM has been publishing and distributing the well-known, free New England monthly alternative lifestyle tabloid newspaper Private Games since 1996. BAM also produces the Adult Street Guide Magazine that has become a popular staple of northeast bookstores. The movies are currently available to retailers through Relaxxx Entertainment 1-800-215-2919. Fans can access DVDs through their favorite retailer, or contact BAM directly by going to PrivateGames.com

Boston Alternative Media products include the Adult Street Guide magazine, the Red Shamrock tabloid newspaper, Boston Baby Dolls DVDs, and the forthcoming Boston T-Party DVD series. Websites include PrivateGames.com & RedShamrock.net.
