Carolyn Jones is a former Playboy model with an amazing talent. She has reinvented herself once again and now creates one-of-a-kind abstract oil paintings and puts them up for auction on eBay. Her work is bold, emotional, and truly a confession of her life on canvas.

Each painting holds a special meaning and it’s apparent that the unusual circumstances that affected her past and the positive influences that occur in her life today help her to choose unique names for these rare and beautiful works of art. I was fortunate to contact her while she had a few moments to spare between a light lunch and a heavy list of things to do. The list of things to do-a full plate!

Rose: “Carolyn, tell me what’s happening with you these days—I heard from a mutual friend that you were creating some great art and had started an eBay store and auction page.”

Carolyn Jones: “Yes, I’m so glad that you caught me while I have a little time. I have a lot to tell you, and a special project to share about one of my dearest friends.”

Rose: “I can’t wait! Tell me more…”

Carolyn Jones: “Well, my world has changed in the past 4 years. I live a quiet life with my pets. I invest in property. I started an eBay store and auction to market and sell my abstract oil paintings. And now, I’m helping a friend raise money to pay increasing medical expenses that insurance doesn’t cover. She has been battling metastatic breast cancer for a year.”

Rose: “Gosh! That’s a heavy load of things to do. Tell me more about your friend.”

Carolyn Jones: “Well, without going into too much detail-I need to help Debbie raise as much money as we possibly can to help with the increasing medical bills. She is 44-years-old and was diagnosed in January 2005. The cancer has spread to her sternum, ribs, spine, skull, some small spots in her liver, and it’s in the lining that surrounds her lungs. It’s a very serious condition and she has been through radiation therapy, and chemotherapy treatments for the past year. Every day is a fight for her life, but she is still hanging in there.

Rose: “How does she manage to keep going?”

Carolyn Jones: “Debbie has 3 beautiful boys-their ages are 3, 7, and 9-years-old. These sweet innocent children are her driving force of survival. They simply need their Mommy. Debbie’s husband works as much overtime as he can to help pay these bills and keep the household going, but it’s still not enough. Debbie can’t afford any help at home with the children, and has to take care of them all by herself, besides doing what little housework she can, and all of it is overwhelming for her. It’s unbelievably hard and she is often sick. She takes pain medication, anti-depressants, and Tamoxifen-which is another form of chemotherapy on a daily basis. The co-pays on these medications add up every month. Debbie has lost a third of her weight. She’s weak and very thin. She worries constantly about the medical bills, which now total almost $200,000.00”

Rose: “Wow! That is overwhelming, and I don’t think I could sleep at night with that figure in my head.”

Carolyn Jones: “Yes, I wish there was something more I could do for her. Debbie is wonderful, a talented writer, and a very sweet person. Her children are well-mannered and intelligent. Debbie home teaches her children and has so much patience.”

Rose: “Okay, tell me the plan. What are you doing to help Debbie with her situation?”

Carolyn Jones: “At the moment, I’m praying that someone with a big heart will find a place in their office, home, or business establishment for my painting that was inspired by Debbie. It is titled, “Life is for Living.” Every penny of this auction will go towards my friend’s medical expenses. I’m donating the painting, the eBay expenses, my time, and anything else that I can contribute. I will not personally benefit from any of the proceeds offered on this painting or any other cash gift received on Debbie’s behalf. I’m also asking everyone that comes to my eBay site that doesn’t want to bid on the painting and would like to contribute a cash gift for Debbie that we would appreciate any dollar amount they’d like to offer. They can send this through my Pay Pal account or Snail Mail. All of this will go strictly towards Debbie’s medical expenses. So, if you have been blessed in your life and have a desire to help Debbie through this tough time-please be generous. I realize that only one person will win the painting, but there are many more that know Debbie through her writing and me from my previous life as an exotic entertainer and Playboy model. I just feel that these people would appreciate what I’m trying to do for my best friend, and will be willing to help me with this worthy cause. Breast cancer is a terrible thing for any woman to endure. It could be your wife, your mother, your sister, your aunt, your cousin, your daughter, or even your best friend. Tell me what would anyone do?”

Rose: “Gosh Carolyn, I can only say that I would be willing to do anything it takes to help-and do it! How do we find your art gallery on eBay?”

Carolyn Jones: “Everyone can simply go to eBay.com and type the word methec into the search bar. On my page the caption will read: “Methec Art *Extra Huge Abstract – 72″ X 48″ – No Reserve”

I can also give this link to the Special Auction page (linked in the box to the right).

Rose: “Is there another way to contact you and get this information?”

Carolyn Jones: “Yes, I can be contacted through Bod-a-Bing@MindSpring.com

Rose: “One more thing-is there anything else you might like to add to this article?”

Carolyn Jones: “Yes, of course. The painting has a $3,500.00 retail price, but I have high hopes that someone with a huge spirit for giving will win this auction, even if it exceeds the retail price, and be proud to display “Life is for Living” for Debbie and all the women that have suffered with this devastating disease. Thanks again, and please feel free to submit any cash gift for Debbie through my Pay Pal account, which you will find on my eBay page. I can also be contacted through “Ask Question” on my page and will make any arrangement for cash gifts to benefit my dear friend.”

Rose: “Thanks so much Carolyn for sharing this information with me, it’s been a privilege to meet with you and find out what is going on in your life. I’ll pass this info on to Steve Nelson of Adult Industry News.”

Carolyn Jones: “Thanks so much Rose, and please check back with me and I’ll let you know how this whole thing goes. Please tell everyone that you know that we need all the help we can get for Debbie.”

Rose: “I promise.”

In 2005 there were 211,240 cases of breast cancer reported to the American Cancer Society. Everyone that I know has met or has had someone in their family touched by breast cancer. Thanks to new medicines like Herceptin and Tamoxifen, there are women that have hope for survival. Please take the time to help Carolyn with this quest for Debbie. Yes, it is that time of year again. The holidays are a time for giving. So, open your heart and give whatever you can to help Carolyn’s dearest friend. She is the mother of 3 children that desperately need her, and also a talented writer with many inspirational stories to share.

Sincerely,

Rose Garten
