(CHARLOTTE, NC) — Renowned erotic glamour photographer Earl Miller will partner with Xobile to offer his photographs to users of cellphones, iPods and other mobile devices.

Miller, who gained fame as the star photographer during the heyday of Penthouse Magazine, said he is eager to “try yet another means of delivery of erotic content through a technology that is growing faster and getting better than anyone imagined it would.”

Xobile, the leading provider of adult movies to cell phones and mobile devices, will provide new images created by Miller as well as selected classic photographs from his archives, according to Harvey Kaplan, who heads Xobile, the mobile arm of Adult Entertainment Broadcast Network (AEBN), the global leader in adult Video-on-Demand (Vod). “Our media lends itself well to his clear and beautifully framed images. I’ve wanted to work with him for many years and this is a rare opportunity to utilize the work of someone we all admire and to offer him to the mobile viewing community,” Kaplan said.

“I’ve seen amazing changes in the way we produce photos over the years and also the way in which people view them,” said Miller. “The Internet changed many of our perceptions about how we can deliver high quality images digitally, and I predict that the same will happen with the tiny screen. I’m delighted to be working with Xobile, which is the clear pioneer in providing adult content through mobile devices.”

For the past three decades Earl Miller has set the standard in glamour photography by which all others are measured. Perhaps Miller’s best known work as been as the most published photographer in the history of Penthouse magazine, but he also has created award winning images in architectural, fashion and advertising photography. Miller’s photography subjects range from legendary film star Edward G. Robinson to Joan Collins, Roseanne, Cher, Nick Nolte, Steven Spielberg and many others. He has also created advertising campaigns for Bugle Boy, Miller Lite Beer and Hilton International.

Earl Miller did not set out to be a photographer. He graduated from Bowdoin College in Maine and went on to medical school. “I was fulfilling a family wish and was in the top 10% of my class, but it became clear that medicine just wasn’t for me so I left school to become an actor.” He had acted in three off-Broadway plays when he bought a camera. “It was an electrifying experience, like discovering some connection that was meant for me.” in 1972 a friend showed Miller a copy of Penthouse, which had been launched a few years earlier by Bob Guccione. This event marked another sea change in his life. “I liked its freshness and its break from the plastic Playboy mold. It was adventurous, more cutting edge. I submitted some samples to Guccione and we connected immediately.”
