(LAS VEGAS, NV) — Jenna Jameson is the Masseuse was honored as the Best Adult Title of the Year last night at the Video Software Dealers Association (VSDA) 2005 Home Entertainment Awards. During ceremonies at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino Vin Diesel and Patrick Swayze were also honored for their contributions to home video while the Incredibles (Buena Vista) and Saw (Lions Gate) each won three mainstream awards.
The VSDA honor marks a “home run” for Jenna Jameson is the Masseuse, the ClubJenna/Vivid Entertainment production that earlier this year won seven awards, including Best Film, at the AVN Awards ceremony, Best Film at XRCO from the X-Rated Critics, as well as the Best Film at the FOXE Awards (Fans of X-Rated Entertainment).
“Wow!” said Ms. Jameson upon learning that the VSDA had chosen the film as best in its category and also bestowed its highest technical award for Best Overall Presentation-Adult Product. “It is amazing that this film has won honors from every single one of these great organizations, but we are particularly grateful for the VSDA awards since this represents the mainstream home entertainment professionals.”
Ms. Jameson says she is especially proud of the Masseuse since she starred in it with her husband, Jay Grdina, who acts and directs under the screen name Justin Sterling. He played the hapless massage parlor customer who falls under the spell of his masseuse. “I was lucky to be cast beside my incredible husband who is an amazing actor. I taught him everything he knows,” Jameson said, noting that Grdina was honored as Best Actor for his role in the film from AVN and XRCO. (Vivid director Paul Thomas has been honored twice as Best Director for his work on the Masseuse.
