(HILLSBOROUGH, NC) — As you know, new legislation dealing with record keeping requirements for adult sites and products goes into effect on June 23, 2005. Overall, any necessary changes to comply with the law have been done on the AdamEveCash.com servers and you do not need to make any changes to your pages.
Please check your pages to insure that all your banners are hyperlinked to the Adam & Eve servers (rather than using banners that you have downloaded and are serving yourself.) Our policy has always been to only use non-explicit images in our affiliate banners, so no additional record keeping requirements are necessary. By hyperlinking to our banners, though, if any changes occur in the future on this important legislation, we can quickly make changes to the banners that appear on your site, without your having to re-code any pages.
Change to Build Your Own Store System – Logo Banners Removed
We have instituted one change to the “Build Your Own Store” system to keep all affiliate store sites compliant with the new law. Effective immediately, we have removed any logo banners uploaded for hosting on affiliate stores. These have been replaced with the text title option for the store. (Note that this does not effect custom-designed contract stores.) We hope to have this feature back in the future, but currently all uploaded files have been removed from our servers.
That’s it! The transition has been very easy for us here because our terms have always required non-explicit affiliate banner ads. We were able to quickly have the affiliate program compliant with the new 2257 laws, with no additional work needed from our affiliates.
