(PHILADELPHIA, PA) — The photographer’s assistant who helped cover up the murder of Taylor Summers, a Canadian porn actress, pleaded guilty Thursday to charges including conspiracy, lying to detectives, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse.
Jennifer Mitkus, 30, admitted in a Montgomery County courtroom that she helped clean up the mess after actress and model Natel King was stabbed to death last February during a photo shoot at a studio in Conshohocken, a Philadelphia suburb. Mitkus maintains that she wasn’t involved in the stabbing, but acknowledged that she helped photographer Anthony Frederick dispose of evidence after he committed the killing.
“She made some bad decisions that night, and in the days subsequent to that night. She’s very remorseful for them,” said her lawyer, Tim Woodward. Mitkus, who lived in Oaks, could face as little as a year in prison under state sentencing guidelines, Woodward said. Prosecutor Barbara Ashcroft said she would argue for substantial jail time.
