The Booble Factor? Bill O’Reilly “Hijacks” World’s Premier Adult Content Website! Bill O’Reilly: “Porn is Bad! For Shame, you Perverts!” [I’m publishing this story to see if we here at Adult Industry News will end up on the same page with O’Reilly as Canada and France, or if Bill is truly lookin’ out for me. What say you, Bill? -Ed.]
(NEW YORK, NY) — The million-or-so daily patrons of Booble.com – an adult content website that bills itself as “The Internet’s top adult search engine and porn directory” – were startled to discover right-wing messages plastered across the homepage of the popular porn site. Apparently, none other than Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly – unabashed moral crusader and the host of the top-rated talk show on cable news – had succeeded in hijacking Booble.com, warning web-surfers worldwide to abandon their wicked ways.
Of course, Bill O’Reilly didn’t personally engage in cyber-sabotage; the postings attributed to him at Booble.com were an April Fools Day prank orchestrated by Booble Bob, Aka Bob Smart, the founder and owner of Booble.com. “Bill O’Reilly likes to accuse others of spinning… but really, when you’re arrogant enough to believe that the world revolves around you, it only looks like people are spinning,” Smart remarked. “Originally, we had plans to use Jerry Falwell as the unwilling poster boy of our April Fools gag, but we understand he’s in ill health and therefore chose a more opportunistic target. With O’Reilly’s penchant for self-serving moralizations, we felt that he’d be ideal fodder for a light-hearted parody.”
This April Fools Day prank isn’t Booble’s first run in with controversy. Following its launch in January 2004, Booble famously sparred with search engine Google over the design of its logo and website, which parodied the online juggernaut. Those issues were privately settled by both companies. Booble changed its logo and homepage in August, 2004.
One Booble patron – Michael Civins of Brooklyn, New York – was more than a little disturbed to see the popular talk show host admonishing him over viewing Internet pornography. “Nothing can kill your sex-drive like seeing the pumpkin-shaped face of Bill O’Reilly, man. He’s like anti-Viagra,” said Civins. “I immediately turned my computer off, washed my eyes with antibacterial soap, and curled up in the fetal position behind my couch, trying to shake that horrific image from my mind. I still haven’t been able to keep down solid food.”
Booble was built because surfing for adult content using mainstream search engines can often lead to viruses, spyware, credit card scams, and endless pop-up ads. This is because unethical online pornographers know how to manipulate search results, or buy their way to the top, regardless of the quality or value. Booble can’t be fooled because each of its 10,000+ listings have been edited and classified by hand. The listings are not manipulated by the artificial intelligence of the major search engines. In addition, Booble’s listings often contain pricing information and, where applicable, Booble directs users to unbiased reviews of adult sites and products. Best of all, Booble is a 100% free adult search engine.
