I have a difficult time waking up so early this Friday but have no choice since the Show must go on. There is no traffic and I make it to the airport in 30 minutes from Pornville. Security is backed up and takes another 20 minutes.
7am
My flight leaves on time and everything is on schedule. Thanks Ted (budget version of United).
8am
I arrive in Las Vegas and head to the taxi line. I meet a fellow conventioneer and share a cab to the Hilton hotel to handle some business at the CES show in the morning. For those of you who don’t know that its free to everyone, its a nice event that attracts all the electronics giants from all over the globe. There are various giveaways and plenty of celebrities. For instance, there is a Rod Stewart, Huey Lewis, and Cheap Trick show this year. Some require an invitation and some don’t.
12pm
Also, the CES show has plenty of food and drink for the press and I have a wonderful meal at an upscale Italian restaurant today. It is raining now and its adding to the traffic. I finally get a taxi and its off to the Adult Expo at the Venetian hotel. To get to the convention hall you have to walk through the casino gaming area, restaurants, and conference rooms. In many of the conference rooms are some of the most respected brand names in the world. You have Pioneer, Canon, Toshiba, and Borland to name a few. As I mentioned before most of the Porn stars walk right by the meeting rooms and I often wonder if that’s the reason that the meetings are half full.
2pm
The check-in process is very smooth and I’m in the show. I immediately spot the Hustler booth with the lovely Jessica Jaymes (New Video – Taboo 4) and Austyn Moore signing for the many fans. Next, is the Vivid booth with Superstar Tera Patrick (Reign of Tera) and new contract star Monique [Alexander] meeting the fans. Monique was previously a Sin City contract star who I have adored for many years. JM Productions has Missy Monroe (White Trash Whore 30) signing posters wearing 2 small blue handprints to cover her tasty mounds. She’s a big hit and the guys like the extra skin exposed.
The show has evolved over the years and doesn’t allow nudity or alcohol at the show this year. I don’t know the reason but there must be a way to bring that aspect back to the show. If they do I guarantee that the revenues will triple. If it wasn’t for alcohol or women, every guy would be rich. What else are you going to spend your money on?
Pure play media has the stars of “Family Business” at the booth. You have Seymour Butts, Mari Possa, Cousin Stevie, and Flower. VCA has Sunset Thomas (Virtual Pleasure Ranch) who works at the Bunny Ranch brothel in Carson City.
New to this show is the addition of many Japanese porn stars signing autographs. Oriental Dream Pictures has brought Sarina who is wearing a furry pink bikini. Celestial Productions has Tiffany Holiday of Direct Models working their booth. She has never done a video for Celestial but they figured why not hire some eye candy. She’s extremely sexy and does a strip tease show on top of the sales table. The crowd loves her and she’s going to be a Star.
Digital Playground has Devon, Jesse Jane, and Teagan Presley stirring up the crowd. These girls have a tremendous following and they love to play the crowd. Baby Doll Pictures has Cytherea and Teanna Kai at their booth today. Cytherea is the next mega-star if she can handle the pressure of stardom.
5pm
The show was bigger and the attendance should break all records as I saw the fan line wrapped around the building. AEE needs a bigger hall with wider walkways as the traffic is extremely heavy. If you do plan on renting some space next year, I recommend that you contact Direct Models and hire a few tarts to spice up your booth. Many booths were dead this year since no one comes to talk to a bunch of guys. We have the Show guide and will inform you later. Three hours is plenty of time to walk and talk to the entertainers. My feet are tired and I’m getting the itch to grab a beer and play some dice. Wish me luck.
