(CHATSWORTH, CA) — I just got out of a meeting with Christian. Whatever rumors you have been hearing are totally false.
Christian did make a decision last week to stop doing compilations and to stop releasing movies on VHS as these two products have been losing market share and the costs related to doing them are not worth the sales they generate. As a result of this he has let his compilation staff go.
Other than this there are no changes at Video Team. We will probably be moving our offices next year at some time but that has always been a situation that was going to be coming up when our lease on the space we use in this building comes up for renewal.
There will be no changes in the web department, Robert and I will still be doing the sites. Actually the only changes from a web standpoint will be that at some point as the stock on VHS gets sold off, those movies will become unavailable on the web (and anywhere else, for that matter). The same with DVD compilations.
Christian is going to do an interview with AVN in a few minutes to clarify all these rumors, you will be able to read the whole story there later today.
