On December 2, 2004 the Free Speech Coalition (FSC) will release the ballots to elect six people to serve a 2-year term on the FSC Board of Directors.

Current Board President Nick Boyias of Marina Pacific stated, “The role of Board of Directors is to guide the organization in the direction we think best for the Industry as a whole.” and in 2005, FSC intends to review their bylaws and mission to develop a vision for the future and a strategic plan to make that vision a reality.

“This is an important election for the industry.” New Executive Director, Michelle L. Freridge says, “The 2005 Board of Directors strategic plan will impact the industry over the next five years, building on the industry’s increased profile in mainstream culture.”

Ballots will be handed out to current members during registration at the FSC general membership meeting at the Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hills, California on Thursday, December 2, 2004. Ballots will be mailed out to members who are not able to attend the general membership meeting on December 3rd.

FSC Board incumbents include Kim Airs from the Grand Opening!: Adult boutiques; Adam Glasser, owner of Seymore Butts Home Video; Sid Grief, CEO of AAA News; Joan Irvine, Executive Director of Adult Sites Against Child Pornography (ASACP); Bill Murphy, owner of Fairvilla Video; Nick Orlandino, CEO of Pipedream Products, and Julie Stewart, Co-owner of SportsSheets.

Members up for re-election include Marina Pacific CEO Nick Boyias, First Amendment attorney Jeffrey J. Douglas, veteran adult producer/distributor Mara Epstein, AVN Senior Editor Mark Kernes, and First Amendment Attorney Reed Lee.

Nominees for 2005 include Brittany Andrews, a well known adult actress, director, producer, and activist; Spike Goldberg, CEO of New Destiny Internet Group; Gary Kremen, owner of sex.com; Morgan Sommer, Co-owner of Cybersocket Inc. & Bionic Pixels LLC, and Jerry Westland, adult club owner and Association of Club Executives (Ace) liaison.

Former Ace president, Mike Ocello of the PT’s Showclub chain, has completed two years of service on the Board of Directors in and has declined to run for another term.
