(BARCELONA, SPAIN) — Private Media Group Inc. (NASDAQ NM: PRVT) announced today that the first of the three follow-on series of the controversial reality show Private Stars is in full production at the Private Stars House at an undisclosed location in Southern Europe.
Berth Milton, President and CEO of Private Media Group commented: “Following Private Stars’ success on Bravo cable TV in the UK, the reception we received at Mipcom was extremely encouraging and has led to a number of interesting broadcast and licence requests. We are continuing with our development of the format and have initiated production of the first of three follow-on series as well as unveiling associated product lines such as 24 hour Web coverage.”
Private Stars was presented at this year’s Mipcom audiovisual trade show for professionals in Cannes (17-21 October), which draws more than 10,000 delegates and 3,000 professional buyers from all around the world. According to Agence France Presse (AFP): “TV execs [at the trade show] confirm that reality television is still a hot ticket with the format proving a winning formula with 16 to 35 year-old audiences around the world.”
At the fair, Private Stars shared the limelight with the Us blockbuster reality show the Apprentice1, with AFP reporting that “The maximum exposure prize will probably go to the new porno reality show”.
In Private Stars, five of Private’s top female performers are living together with five male contestants whose dream is to star in an adult movie. The five female performers are putting the boys through heaven and hell in order to pick the lucky winner. The prize will be a contract to star in Private’s next main feature production to be shot in Southern Europe at a magnificent 16th century chateau linked historically to Napoleon Bonaparte.
As from today, fans can follow the Private Stars production live online at PrivateStars.com. Via hidden webcams the viewer will be able to follow the action 24/7 in real-time. Also available on the website are interviews with the cast and crew, and daily updates on the action in the house.
