(BARCELONA, SPAIN) — Private Media Group Inc. (NASDAQ: PRVT) a worldwide leader in premium-quality adult entertainment products, services and Internet content, today announced the signature of an exclusive three year Agreement with US-based Pure Play Media, Inc. For content distribution in Europe.
Under the agreement, Private will distribute around ten newly produced movie titles per month in Europe, Private’s main market for DVDs. In keeping with Private’s record of outstanding product quality, the content controlled by Pure Play Media features top Us producers and directors such as Michael Ninn, Seymore Butts, and Cousin Stevie. Private is expecting to start distribution already this year and be in full operation by January 2005.
Through the agreement, the Company is increasing the output of DVDs, via its well-established 32 countrywide European distribution network, from approximately ten titles per month to twenty. The deal is based on a split and does not require any up-front or future investment in content by Private.
