Private Stars

(BARCELONA, SPAIN) — Private Media Group Inc. (NASDAQ Nm: PRVT) is pleased to announce that the controversial airing of the reality show Private Stars on the UK satellite and cable network Bravo has beaten all of Private’s expectations.

The Bravo network attracts a prime segment of ABC1 adults aged between 16 and 34 years. From 16 to 25 August (11.00-11.30pm), the ten-episode reality show ranked in the top two Bravo programmes of 2004 for that time slot in both overall adult viewers and adult male viewers, showing its attraction to a female audience with a share of on third of the overall adult viewers. Since 30 August, several re-runs of the show were broadcast by Bravo.

Private Stars is an adult reality show where five male contestants compete to feature in a new Private Media adult entertainment film. The contestants are evaluated by five of Private’s top female performers and successively eliminated.

Marten Kull, Chief Marketing Officer at Private commented on the success: “Private Stars’ controversial and novel format led to high expectations for this programme. It has beaten all of them and viewer feedback has been phenomenal. The new series, drawing on the experience of the pilot show is sure to make more media history.”

The initial Private Stars series featured male contestants from South Africa, the Us, the UK and the Netherlands as well as five of Private’s popular adult film actresses. Casting is now in progress for three new series to be produced in October, November and December.

Berth Milton, President and CEO of Private Media Group explains: “As one of the most experienced adult entertainment companies we are ideally placed to professionally produce a reality format which shows viewers what other reality shows only hint at. The enormous success of the first series clearly demonstrates the global sales potential of our proprietary format.

“The first series, already shown in the UK, is now being marketed internationally through various efforts such as participation at Mipcom 2004 in Cannes. The three new series in production will be directed towards English speaking markets around the world and feature added-value tie-ins such as viewer polling by cellular phone and telephone voting. The Private Stars reality format will also feature prominently in our DVD product line.” – . –
