Fun! Among many other aspects, sex can be fun; it can also be purient, loving, satisfying/gratifying, etc, or a combination of the aforementioned. Since I’m not presently in a committed relationship involving love-making, I have sex for fun, especially when I’m having it in front of the cameras.

I’ve been having lots and lots of sex fun (interestingly, one of my three video series is titled “Sex Fun”); and, lately, lots of filming for my “Knee Pad Nymphos” series, as well as “performing” for other companies; and, as typical in my old fart’s life, I’ve enjoyed some off-screen sex with groupies and swingers. Sex is fun for me. Life is good!

Like the Wildlife Productions shoots and the Playboy Television shoots that I’ve often described in past columns, I enjoy working as a “hired gun” so-to-speak” for other companies; I have no responsibilities for the myriad of shoot details and problem-solving, other than performing! Life is good. Granted, the round-trip traffic nightmare drive between San Diego and Los Angeles can be a negative, but the sex/fun reward is usually well worth it.

I love my job. I also enjoy producing and directing for my own company in San Diego, even though I unavoidably have to personally handle all aspects of the shoot; in the last week or so, I’ve shot five separate knee pad nymphos sex scenes–each was sexually-satisfying fun! In these shoots, not only am I the producer and director, but among other things I’m also the set organizer, caterer, production assistant, cameraman, and sex performer. Holding the camera while getting an energetic blowjob or while doing sex sometimes makes for shaking footage, so I also use three additional 3-chip digital camcorders on tripods for the wide-angle shots and other footage that the editor might need to augment the POV (point of view) footage that I record with the hand-held camera while I’m actually doing the sex and having sex fun.

It’s often tempting to set my hand-held camera down and enjoy the sex like I did during a filming a few days ago with Lena Ramon, but invariably whenever I do that the tripod cameras aren’t always exactly on target capturing the action, and I lose important footage! Other times, the tripods have saved my butt. Regardless, I’m having lots of fun. Typically, 3-5 of the 10 scenes in the series involve sexual positions, as well as a blow job.

The scene with Lena Ramon that I shot last week will be in Volume 8, and included oral, sexual positions, and an oral “creampie” (anytime I do creampies, I cum inside the vagina, or butt, or mouth and then slowly pull my penis out of the girl’s orifice and let the camera/viewers see another drop of two of cum ooze out of me, thus “proving” that I did indeed cum inside her—all this is videoed without the camera coming off of the action at all). The “Knee Pad Nymphos” series has received three AVN Awards Nominations in the last two years, so I’m somewhat assured of more sex fun in the future. Life is good.

I teach a three-hour class every six weeks in Los Angeles and San Diego on “How to Make Your Own Adult Film”. Class size is usually between 12-40+ students, mostly guys hoping to grab a piece of the billions of dollars they’ve heard about on television reports; and, they also sometimes seem to be considering “producing” as a way to get laid! I advise them that they might be a few years too late now that digital camcorders have already fostered a lot of “producers”, just like they want to be, and these producers have continually flooded the market with a huge glut of footage and videos over the past few years.

I tell students about the realities of the “glut” situation, and the real-world matters involved with producing. It’s amazing how the scenarios in some adult videos seem to have given some viewers/wannabe producers the mistaken impression that they can merely announce their status as a producer and expect legitimate adult actresses to flock to what the wannabe producers hope will be their “casting couch”. It’s not unlike the guys who see a porn girl in aisle one of the supermarket and are (mistakenly, of course) 100% certain that they can get her to give them a blowjob by aisle 3, or in the parking lot or car; or, the guys who bug me to let them be on a set to observe a filming–they usually (mistakenly again, of course) think that a porn actress doing sex is going to surely want to also “do” them after the camera shuts downs; or, the many guys who write/email me wanting to be a porn star and (mistakenly, of course, because there’s no such thing as “auditions”) thinking that they can get an “audition” with an “A-list” porn actress of their choosing to prove themselves as a stud–I refer all wannabe porn studs to the link titled “How to be a Porn Star” at the bottom of the first page in the Guest’s Section of my DaveCummings.com site.

After class a couple of weeks ago in Los Angeles, I hustled over to the (Industry only) annual X-Rated Film Critics Organization Awards Show. I love attending, as it’s truly a social event with sincere friendship among the Industry’s members. Having previously won the award for “Unsung Swordsman” for 2001, I’m always cheering for all the nominees for this particular award; Brandon Iron won it last year, and Steve Holmes won the award this year. Like other years, the woman attendees looked scrumptious. I felt like I was at an extended-family gathering. Life is good.

I think I’m ready for the upcoming elections, though I’ve still got a little more research to do concerning the records of local incumbents and the positions of challengers. I hope everyone reading this is planning to vote. We’re fortunate to enjoy freedom. Life is good.
