Hello, I’m Myles Shaffer. I practically live in strip clubs. Why would that be, you might ask? It is because in the last six and a half years I have met and become friends with so many adult film stars and feature dancers, that I sometimes can’t see all the ladies I know who are dancing locally on the same weekend. By local, I’m counting all the clubs that book feature dancers from the Santa Maria and Santa Barbara, California Spearmint Rhinos to Stevi Secret’s Nude Cabaret in Phoenix, Arizona!
It has been suggested that I should try writing a column for AINews.com, and I have decided to do so. I will be using the column to give trip reports and my impressions of the performances of the feature dancers I see each weekend. I hope the readers will enjoy what I have to say.
Well, enough of that let us get on to the ladies. Oops! I almost forget to mention one thing. I hope all the readers will remember that I live in the vicinity of Los Angeles. That way, I will not have to spell out that the clubs I visit are in California each and every time I write. Also, bear in mind that most of the clubs are located in this big mess we refer to as, “The Greater Los Angeles Area”, even though many of them are in smaller incorporated cities.
Okay, I will now speak about my adventures of Thursday, August 12, through Sunday, August 15, 2004.
Shayla LaVeaux Via Kaylani Lei and Back
Thursday evening, I went to the downtown Los Angeles, California, Spearmint Rhino to see Kaylani Lei feature dance for the first time ever. When I got there I had just missed her first show. I stayed and spoke with Kaylani for a while and got a Polaroid for my collection. After she had gone back to rest and prepare for the last show, I was told that the club wouldn’t be putting her back up until 1:00 Am. So, I went to my car, called Silver Reign Gentlemen’s Club just a few blocks away and was told that Shayla LaVeaux’s first show would be at 11:15 Pm. Great! That works out perfectly, so off I went. Shayla’s first show actually started around 11:30 Pm. After the show, I hung around and spoke with Shayla for a while, then drove back to the Rhino. I walked in just as Kaylani started walking off the stage. They had put her up 45 minutes early, so I missed again. I now knew that I would have to go back and catch Kaylani’s first show on Friday night, if I wanted to see her dance, which I did, then move down to the South Bay Spearmint Rhino, also within the city of Los Angeles, California, to spend some time with Jasmin St. Claire.
Let’s get back to Shayla LaVeaux. Shayla has been around for a while, but she is still a very good looking woman and stays in excellent shape. Given her experience, Shayla’s shows, costumes, etc., are always good. She is always good about interacting with the tip rail customers. (when it comes to interacting with the customers, I must admit, I was the only guy in the club whom she kissed on the lips. Maybe that is because I was the only customer who has also been friends with Shayla for several years now. My life does have a few nice perks, now doesn’t it?) Shayla LaVeaux is very friendly, has a great sense of humor, and loves to meet her fans. The lady is simply fun to be around.
I would recommend that anybody who is ever given a chance to see Shayla LaVeaux perform in person do so without fail. I doubt that anybody would be disappointed with seeing Shayla perform and/or getting to meet her in person.

Kaylani Lei
Friday evening, I went back to the downtown Los Angeles Spearmint Rhino. This time, I got under way in plenty of time to catch Kaylani Lei’s first show of the evening, which was her third show ever as a feature entertainer. (Kaylani has danced as a house girl in Las Vegas, before she got into the adult film industry and signed a contract with Wicked Pictures. Yes, she is one of Wicked’s contract stars. In fact, I believe she is Wicked’s newest contract star.)
Even though this weekend is Kaylani’s first gig as a feature, and she was naturally nervous and concerned with how she was doing, I could personally tell her she was doing just fine. I’ll say the same thing I said to Kaylani, and that is the fact that she performed so well as many features I have seen who have been featuring for three or four years.
To give an example of just how well Kaylani performed, after the show, I was speaking with Kaylani and Tina, who assisted Kaylani, when they told me that Tina had goofed, causing the DJ to play the wrong track on one segment of Kaylani’s show. Had they not confessed this to me, I would have never known. Instead of stopping her performance to correct the mistake and have the DJ play the right song, as I have seen several, more experienced features do, Kaylani simply winged it, and nobody knew the difference! Kaylani sailed through the problem as though there were no problem!
Now I am certain that at least some of the readers have seen pictures of Kaylani Lei. Trust me when I say, the lady is even more beautiful in person! Kaylani has a terrific personality. She comes across as being very happy, vibrant, and bubbly, and she is extremely sweet and friendly. Everybody I spoke with about Kaylani that night agreed with me that she is an absolutely adorable sweetheart!
Getting back to Kaylani’s show, as I’ve already said, she performs very well. Her costumes are nice looking, and her dancing is good. Kaylani is very good about going around to the different tip rail patrons and allowing them a good close look at what they came to see.
It did seem to me that Kaylani wasn’t quite so strong on the up front and personal hands on interacting with the tip rail customers, but nobody complained. We were all happy to have such a gorgeous view, and, as time goes by and Kaylani gains experience, I suspect that she will only get better in the personal interaction department. And, if she doesn’t, it will be her personal choice and no big deal, so long as she is entertaining, which she is.
Even now, Kaylani Lei is well worth the time and money to see her dance; therefore, I would recommend that anybody who might get a chance to check Kaylani out at a local club do so. I don’t believe they will be disappointed. Kaylani Lei most definitely has, “The Myles Shaffer Stamp of Approval!”

Jasmin St. Claire
After I had said goodnight to Kaylani Lei, I hot footed it down to the South Bay Spearmint Rhino to spend some time with Jasmin St. Claire.
Jasmin is practically a legend in the adult entertainment industry. The lady has so many irons in the fire, it is almost unbelievable.
I first met Jasmin St. Claire in February 1999, and she has not aged one single day since. Jasmin has a very exotic look about her. She has long, beautiful hair, and a great looking body.
Jasmin is no novice when it comes to feature dancing. She has had quite a few years of experience, and she started very young, so she still looks young. (Compared to many of us, she is young!)
Jasmin puts on good shows, with good costumes and interesting themes. She also does a decent job of interacting with the tip rail customers. One thing Jasmin does, but not in every show, is the candle wax thing. However, she doesn’t pour too much wax on herself. Rather, she will crawl around the edge of the stage and allow the customers to pour the melted wax onto her body. In doing this, she will alternate. She will have one customer pour wax onto her breasts, the next customer pour wax onto her buns, so forth and so on, until she has interacted with everyone at the tip rail.
Anybody who is ever given a chance to see Jasmin St. Claire perform in person should absolutely do so. I believe anybody in their right mind would enjoy seeing Jasmin St. Claire dance and meeting her. Also, it might not be a bad idea to buy a Polaroid picture with Jasmin and/or a video or DVD. Trust me, Jasmin is hot in sex scenes the way many men wish their wives were!

The Haven Ashton Moore Duo
On Saturday afternoon, I went to the City of Industry, California, Spearmint Rhino to see the Haven Ashton Moore Duo’s matinee and to say hello.
I first met Haven in the spring of 1999, when she was barely eighteen years old and had been a house dancer at the Imperial Theater in Anaheim, California, for only about two weeks. I swear, after five and a half years, Haven does not look one day older!
I’ve lost track, but I believe I’ve known Ashton Moore for about a year now.
Now, individually, Haven and Ashton are both good feature dancers. Together, they are hot! Not only are these ladies beautiful women with great looking bodies, but their duo shows rapidly turn into what comes very close to a XXX girl/girl scene right before your eyes, and you don’t have to worry about having a bulky video camera shoved into your eyeball!
Unfortunately for many, Haven and Ashton are not strong on up close and personal hands on interaction with the tip rail patrons, but that is a personal choice I have no problem with. Their bodies are theirs, not the customers. So long as they look good, their costumes are good, and their shows entertaining, that is all we have a right to expect. And, the ladies do entertain!
Haven and Ashton both have very nice personalities. They are sweet ladies and quite friendly. And, they both love to meet their fans.
The Haven and Ashton Moore Duo definitely has my approval. I would recommend a trip to a local club to see these ladies perform to anybody who asks.

Felecia
Sunday evening, after I had finished bowling out in Riverside, California, I violated speed laws on the eighty plus mile drive to the Van Nuys, California, Spearmint Rhino to see and spend time with Felecia. Now anybody who doesn’t know who Felecia is, has been living under a rock and does not know that XXX adult fare exists!
Felecia is a lovely, sexy looking woman with long, beautiful hair and a slender, all natural body. Her costumes are well done and look quite good, and she performs very well. Felecia has many well planned shows with costumes appropriate for the musical selection. After all this time, Felecia still creates a new show now and then with music and costume to match. To give an example, Sunday evening, Felecia performed a new show I’ve never seen before, and I’ve spent a lot of time with Felecia in the six years I’ve known her.
While Felecia does interact with the tip rail patrons to an extent, hers is not so much of a hands on interaction. Even so, she is a lot of fun to watch on stage.
