(SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA) — Australia’s Sexiest Women gear up for Australian Penthouse ‘Pet of the Year’ 2004. The Australian Penthouse Pet of the Year will be announced on Tuesday evening 7 September at the Establishment in Sydney. The Pet of the Year Party marks the 25th anniversary of the magazine that has been confronting the censors and politically correct since it first hit the newsstands in 1979.
This year promises to be a trans-Tasman Bledisloe Battle of the Babes, as both Australian and New Zealand finalists face off for the coveted Pet of the Year title and more than $40,000 in prizes. Finalists for 2004 Penthouse Pet of the Year include: A psychology student; a dancer, a promotions manager; a model and a real estate agent.

2004 Pet of the Year Finalists include:
Brooke (Gold Coast, Qld) a 20-year old promotions manager for a sports performance team who found posing for Penthouse a “liberating and incredibly sexy experience.”
Katrina (Townsville, Qld) a psychology student, 24 year-old Katrina had no inhibitions when it came to her tropical beach shoot. “I knew it would be a lot of fun, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do and I really love the photos.”
Hayley-Marie (New Zealand) Kiwi beauty, 23 year-old Hayley-Marie shot to instant celebrity status in her homeland after appearing on the March 2004 cover. “It feels great that I’m seen as something of a pioneer, being the first ever Kiwi cover girl. Hopefully it will encourage other NZ girls to take the leap.”
Emma (Perth, Wa) an exotic dancer proudly proclaims her status as a ‘fantasy girl’. “I’ve worked hard and picked up quite a few titles including Miss Nude Wa (2003) and Best Legs (2003),” says Nicole. I’ve always been a big fan of Australian Penthouse – the women look so glamorous, and to make the Pet of the Year finals is something really special.
Nicole (New Zealand) a 25-year-old real-estate agent, Nicole is another hot property from across the Tasman who gave the phrase “position, position, position” a whole new meaning in the June 2004 issue. “I wouldn’t say I’m an exhibitionist, but I do love the attention”, said Nicole. I’m looking forward to the Pet of the Year Party and meeting all the other finalists.”
