It’s Amanda’s girl-next-door realness that shines through as Amanda recently commented on her very first magazine article saying, “Imagine a regular ol’ housewife and mom being exposed with bigtime stars! It’s so very exciting to see myself in a magazine with such beautiful superstars.” She goes on to explain, “I went on the Howard Stern show as a contestant for the lesbian dial-a-date contest to accomplish two things:
1) to have my very first bi-sexual experience in a way that felt safe and exciting at the same time, and
2) to get exposure for my website.
I did win the date with 75% of the internet votes, and even got to have my first time experience with another woman… And a porn star yet! It was fun, sexy and Wow, but I still prefer men (my husband to be more specific). At the same time (from that experience) I would still like to do it again”.
But living ‘the normal, everyday life’ with her new-found fame has not been as easy as some people might think. Amanda goes on to say,”Now my whole community knows about me and my website thanks to being on Howard Stern, unfortunately I’m no richer, but I am a lot wiser from the whole experience. I’ve had people say things to me about my website at my sons school… Not terrible things but I can easily sense their sarcasm.
I’ve even had one of the kindergarten moms call me by my stage name ‘Amanda’.. When she knew my real name. I guess this business could go any which way for whoever.. meaning.. maybe you do get rich.. Or maybe you just get known. In my case, I’m known and still trying! I still stay involved in my community, at the school and with the neighbors no matter what they say behind my back. But I can’t say that it’s not a lot of fun, no matter what the financial outcome is”. So this shy, hot mom of the block, holds her cool head high and presses on the publicity trail, looking for more “firsts” and probably a few seconds too.
