(LAS VEGAS, NV) — Las Vegas Novelties contract star Christi Lake will be in Austin, Texas for the South by Southwest Film Festival (SXSW.com) this weekend, March 19 – 21, 2004. Christi, who appears in the documentary “The Naked Feminist” is attending the festival at the request of the producer of the documentary. “The Naked Feminist” is making its US debut at the festival.
“I’m really excited to be part of a documentary on the adult industry that focuses on the women in the industry as strong and powerful and in control of their careers,” comments Christi fresh from Playboy’s 50th anniversary party here in Vegas. “There are a lot of women, on many different levels working in adult. Serenity, Jewel, me, we all have our own things going and we are all very successful at what it is we do. People should recognize that.”
According to the documentary’s web site, NakedFeminist.com, “The Naked Feminist” challenges the mythology surrounding women in the porn industry head on through a series of candid interviews with pornstars, academics and feminists. This 58 minute documentary film seeks to strip away the ideological straitjacket surrounding the decades old ‘porn v feminist’ debate by demonstrating that strong, inspirational women are found in all walks of life – including pornography.
Christi will be at the screening on March 20, 2004 at 7:30 Pm and will be available to discuss her career and her involvement in the documentary. The documentary will be shown at the Austin Convention Center located at 500 E. Cesar Chavez Street.
Las Vegas Novelties contract star Chloe is also featured in the documentary.
