Phoenix to Distribute Pounder & Daydream

(VAN NUYS, CA) — Phoenix Releasing has signed an exclusive domestic distribution agreement with Dave Pounder Productions and Daydream Production Company, effective November 1, 2004.

“Dave’s product has mass appeal to mainstream Americans looking for traditional content with a comedic element,” said Bob East, owner of Phoenix Releasing, “His product is ideal for the younger-aged college audience.” Pounder opined, “Bob is a professional, trustworthy individual with a great deal of experience in this industry, not to mention and extensive distribution network.” “We see eye-to-eye on a lot of issues surrounding the industry, and I am very excited about the prospects of this partnership.” Dave Pounder titles were formerly distributed by Scarlett Tower Entertainment / Avalon Enterprises.

The Daydream deal calls for the release of 6 titles per year. Daydream owns and operates two character-themed internet Reality sites, InTheSexParty.com and BikiniBanger.com. “We wanted to put our content on DVD to help brand the name and get some free advertising out there”, said Dave Pounder, director of Production for Daydream. Pounder continued, “We already incurred the cost of producing the scene for the Internet, so it makes sense to maximize our revenues by exploring all distribution channels available to us.”

“We think Daydream’s product will do well with us because it appeals to a wide market”, said Bob East, owner of Phoenix Releasing. “Given the new proposed 2257 regulations, the last thing we want is the federal government coming down on us for extreme content. Daydream helps set the example by producing responsible content that appeals to regular people.”

The latest release from Dave Pounder Productions, Hard at Work, is scheduled to hit the streets November 16. Daydream’s first title, in the sex Party: Raw, is scheduled for release on November 23.
